The important thing from Saturday, reference KWP not playing, is that in the celebrations he was smiling and hugging Ruben, so still a happy bunny.

I'm not doubting the genuine team spirit that exists now that Ruben has taken over, but from a purely cynical, money-oriented, viewpoint, do unused substitutes get a (share in the) win bonus, if/when Saints emerge victorious, at the end of 90 plus minutes?

A win bonus might occur to you later, but pretty sure delight in a win for the club/team mates is anyone’s first thought.

I expect players have a clause in their contract that reduces their salary if the team is relegated so they all have an interest in winning. Obviously the better ones can move on easily enough, but it must be a ball ache to have to move

KWP adds another dimension to our play - he has to start if he`s fit. And not at Perraud`s expense. Lets play our best players in their best positions.

Yeah if KWP is fit then he plays, he is our best player and Gnonto is Leeds’ most dangerous player. AMN wasn’t bad against Chelsea but also hasn’t shown the levels KWP has and we aren’t in a position to not be picking our best available 11 for any game (especially one as big as this)

Still not back in training after the injury he picked up after his last return. It really isn't looking good for him. I can't see him playing again this season, which would make it 1.5 seasons of no football at all. I'd be very surprised if he is the same player after that. It will be a real shame if isn't able to have a career at the top of the game as he looked so good for his age.

Given the second injury he picked up was unrelated to his knee injury it's far too early to say things aren't looking good for him. We won't know until he gets back on the pitch and plays competitive football. It wouldn't be 1.5 seasons of no football either. He got injured with 4 games to go last season. So it will be one season out, which is still bad.

Ah, I was mistaken, in my mind he missed most of the 2nd half of last season.

But I think it is pretty safe to say things are looking tough for him. Despite the club playing it down this 2nd injury is clearly pretty serious as he isn't even back doing light running yet. The advancements and investments clubs have made in physio and sports science in recent years will hopefully mean less players see their long term careers suffer following such serious injuries. Hope to see him back asap!

Neither side will want a draw, but I can't decide which team would be the more accepting of a point.

It's pretty much certain that at least one of us will be getting relegated, and there's a fair chance that we'll both be going down. So anything other than three points isn't a great outcome for either side.

Draws always depend on the context. If we're 2-0 down at half time and end up drawing that will feel like a win.

I’m always a big believer in goal difference as a decent indicator of where a team is trending towards and we’re screwed!
We effectively need a point more than all our rivals, so although drawing at home to a rival would be pretty bad for Leeds, ultimately that point would benefit them more in the long run.

Can see us going with experience again, agree KWP must start, maybe push AMN into midfield with Armstrong injured. Expect Ely, Theo etc may all get game time but in all honesty, it will be nice to see a settled team, even nicer to repeat the heroics of Chelsea.

A good goal difference has been to our benefit in the past...sometimes lifting us several places. Have to admit it is a worry to me this season.
