The fact that we’d even be disappointed not getting play offs in our first season back shows how well we’ve done so far

    I agree.

But the passionate safc fan in me will know why we didn't get there. And I think we all know why too.

We do, but there's no point people crying about. The last 12 months have been brilliant, this season has been MILES above what we expected. I'm happy to enjoy the ride for the last 13 games and see where we end up.

Had we made no changes and still lost, people would moan that players are tired and the manager should have made changes
Every defeat puts the club, the manager and the the players under the microscope

    Fair enough.

Just don't like opportunities missed me. Not at professional level.

Think we will be 10-14 when the season ends. That's cool but hey ho.

    What to take from that...

    V poor 1st half

Gelhardt had an okay game, is improving

Amad in retrospect should have been subbed

    We missed, you know who.

We still created chances, we still had lots of possession.

    Start again Saturday

Awful result, they had only won 2 in the last 18 games
    Awful
No proper striker, we only have ourselves to blame

Millwall taking 4 points off the top 2 this week is massive for them, we need something similar next month

Considering the highest placed finish for a promoted L1 team in recent years has been 15th then I think 10th would be excellent.
I don't think we are done yet, but the run of games, the lack of Roscoe and the fact that so many players are on their arses means we have a slump coming I think

There are always bright sides lads. Gelhardt got his goal and confidence will be high now. There is a player there. We had a quite poor defensive display but that is something Mowbray will correct easily. Baath and Ballard just seemed a touch off the partnership. Hume should hopefully be back in again Saturday which might allow Mowbray to put some fresh legs in the midfield 2.

    Bring on Saturday.

i reckon i could watch the whole 90 again and still struggle for a MotM, even when some are having an off day others step up but it really did not happen tonight, roberts added some momentum in there but his usual work with amad was never going to work.

have been singing dan neils praises for a few (deserved) weeks but tonight he just looked as if he has learned nothing, not alone as michut did not seem to get into the game at all, we needed a bit of magic and almost got it from gelhardt, first was at least a yard offside and he needed a little bit of luck with his header and shot, think the ref was far too soft for them...hughill dropping in the box to stem our attacks and the keeper basically ran into onien rather than anyone fouling him so alese's should have stood.

i try to be fair about the opposition and i was surprised by rotherham, they certainly did not play like a 'bottom' team and pressed us well but i reckon we deserved something out of the game...never mind, been some tough games this month and maybe if this had been tomorrow night we would have seen a bit more from our lads.

again though, not going to get upset about it as the games have came round fast and if anyone had told me we would be sat in a play off place in february i would have laughed at them, squad has done well and will do well again, they are still learning.

Can anyone at all explain why this has been disallowed? The incompetence of the officials is a major issue in English football.

Wouldn't shock me to see us 3 at the back (Ballard-Batth-O'Nien) and try and make us a bit more solid through the middle

O9 jumps in to the keeper. It's a foul

    You're not wrong there mate.
I think this season we were always going to mix and match and give the young lads a chance to play.
Some times it works out some times it doesn't. But they need game time to progress
Michut is a prime example. After his first few games I would have sent him back
On his current form I'd build the team around him.
I think over the next few months a strong settled team will slowly develop.

Eh? He jumps for the header and gets punched. Keeper in no way is fouled there and is 2 yards away from the ball. No foul at all, if anything how isn’t punching someone in the box not a penalty?

Keeper is 2 yards away from the ball and punches our player, its a penalty if you say it like that.
