Thought your lot said Sven was? Mowbray, Adkins are obviously better than him tho due to their league position
Cheddar bean said I had no credibility. And that's for a person who has the word "c***" in his avatar. And if I was being predictable, I dare say I'd be on here telling you how s*** you are and taunting you about losing your manager to us. But I'm not. I didn't say we were massive and you were tiny, but clubs have realistic expectations, based on there history, about where they will be in the future, if they are not their now. Leicester are a lower Prem/upper Championship club historically. Hull, and please correct me if I'm wrong, as I've only been watching football for 15 years and before that I'd never heard of you, are more of a Third tier club (a quick look at wikipedia seems to confirm this). I had the same discussion with Plymouth fans in 2007. They said they were bigger than us too. Look at them now. Not saying this is going to happen to you, but to but it bluntly, if we were in the same league with the same points (which we almost are), then most managers and players would opt for us. I know you won't agree with that because you're a Hull fan, but there we are. The £8m will be used to "fill the gaps" really, not replace any big names (well, except one). I did worry when the transfer window closed that we didn't have any wide players or enough cover upfront. Thankfully, Howard as rediscovered a bit of form, but we shouldn't be relying on him at his age. Beckford was clearly a last gasp signing, but even so, he's been disappointing, so we need some else to play with Nugent. Schlupp is just a youngster. And lets not forget, Gallagher, Dyer, Waggy, Wellens, Howard, Weale and King were all there before. He's got a good new defence, which will benefit from his defensive knowledge, and the added bonus of Kasper and Nugent - personally I think these two are our best players. So he's not exactly starting from scratch.
He's not in this league anymore! Adkins and Mowbray are good managers, but have better funds than Pearson did at Hull and us before the take over.
You've basically just tried to claim that history affects the now, but if we're being sensible we both know that's actually bollocks so we'll end that debate there. We're historically a 2nd division club, but it doesn't affect anything anyway. What matters is who has the most fans, biggest stadium, most money, best players and unfortunately for us, best manager. As for where NP spends his wonga, I don't give a ****. UnaBomber quoted you because you accidentally put £8 when you meant £8m and he said that wouldn't go far, you didn't notice this and thought he was being serious which is what prompted my facepalm smiley. No one is actually arguing with you about who you will, or need to, sign.
That's Leicester all round then. I didn't say history affects the now, but it usually reflects the future. Pretty pathetic if you're resorting to minor typing errors on a casual forum to win an argument. As I said, name-calling... I came on here to discuss things seriously with you all, but you have no interest in this and just want to be childish. So I might as well just have been WUM. You pretty much deserve all the piss-taking you're going to get when he does sign.
FFS you start a post telling us how great Leicester are on our board and end it by saying you're not a wum and we are childish. You also seem to have misunderstood the idea of name-calling again. Una Bomber was being funny (it is a casual forum, in your words), not everything has to be a massive Hull V Leicester fight. You'll get on like a house on fire with NP if you're really this sensitive...
Lesta Gangster - only been watching football for fifteen years - as long as that? Leicester City record attendance 47298 - Hull City record attendance 55019. My dads better than your dad. Grow up.
It's the whole "my dad's bigger" ****e that I was trying to avoid, but saying Pearson is taking a back step going to Leicester is clearly erroneous. And if you grew up with Forest as your local team you'd pay not attention to football either! And cramming 55k fans into an 8k capacity ground only means you have more irresponsible ground staff.
Lesta Gangsta I have been reading your posts and thought you where making some good points and that you was not trying to be a WUM! but this posts just sums you up! Yes Leiccester have more history than us but that is in the past! Liverpool have more history then Man City but id say they are a bigger club than Liverpool now. We have got a good fan base always have our record attendance proves this! At the moment you have a average of around 1000 more than us! but thats to do with us dropping down from the Prem 2 years ago and you comming up! As for the grounds, yes yours holds more think its around 32000 but when was the last time you got that? We have plans to incress our ground to that amout. I dont think anyone has talked about this been a reason, but with the Allams not been able to buy the stadium and devellop around the KC could of been a factor in all of this??
Yes, that last post was obviously a WUM, as I said in the post before, I was getting nowhere talking sense to some of those posters. You seem more sensible. I would still say Liverpool are a bigger club than Man City, but Man City have always been a big club anyway. In the future I expect that Liverpool will eventually get the investment that will see them dominate again. But at the minutes it's City's turn to prosper - every dog has it's day. Yes, our attendances have been a little disappointing, at £30 a ticket for a team that is not fulfilling it's promises during a recession, this is to be excepted I suppose. I thought your stadium plans had been scuppered?
£30 a ticket? ****ing christ, your owners are milking you!!! They're mega rich, they don't need stupid ticket prices, they should take a leaf out of our owners book and drop them!! Greed, and surely a sign of their true intention?
