Okay, I’m going to start off positive. He is a very experienced coach and at a level of club that we are currently at. He has experience of the PL. He tends to start off well at his new clubs, which is exactly what we need, coming unstuck in his second season because generally the clubs he manages can’t really cut it financially in the division they play in. Terry Gibson the “expert” on Spanish football said discount his time at Valencia, the club is a basket case on brink of financial ruin and not one coach has lasted long there. Lastly, I’m with wakey, not on Orta’s rada so he may just have lucked out on the right one. I’m predicting that he’ll get us out of this (if the squad is as good as you lot keep telling me it is). I’m right behind the guy
Well, I've never heard of him, but at least he has some premier league experence, and lets face it anyone would be better than feckin Lasso was. Even my Gran*! I will back this one for purely the prem / relegation battle experience. This one I will even call him by his name.. Welcome Javi, and do us a favour and get the lads to kick Southhamptons arse on Saturday! New manager, first game win syndrome.. I have everything crossed. *Gran passed away a few years ago
Well I wouldn't expect you to get the attitude Personally, I'll be supportive of the new coach*. And I'll continue to criticise or praise performances but not results.* *please note, exceptions to these rules include 'when i'm p*ssed off', 'when I change my mind', 'when it suits me not to', 'when i'm on the wind-up' or any other number of reasons
Let's see if this lad can get Bamfords first touch better, or Firpos defending respectable, or Meslier to get some form back, or Struijk to defend properly....etc etc Good luck Javi.
Afternoon all. Delighted we've got a coach and I like the idea that he's good at knowing what to do during games. That was definitely not Jesse's strong point. One comment I would like to make to those who can't see 6 wins since we've only won 4. Yes, we've won the least games in the top 4 divisions apparently, but only one team from 12th down has won more than 6. I realise that for us to get to 6 is a stretch but it's not like we're adrift, all the teams around us are also in the ****, just not quite as much **** as us. I hope the new guy turns it round. I think his record of wading into ****storms and making a difference is exactly what we need. Fingers firmly crossed
Palace game moved to 17:30 kick off but may be moved again to the Sunday. I think that is pathetic and an insult to our home support.
Means I'll have to support Liverpool tonight now as don't like the idea of a Monday night game. Bit of a ****er really as normally I'd prefer they get stuffed.
I know bud potentially it could be moved twice. To be honest i can put up with Saturday 5:30 pm kick offs. I do not like the 12:30 ones though.
