I didn't see it, watched mainly of the second half but there were gaps (tea making duties...) I'll see if I can find it...
Oh dear. Big team decision methinks. The penalty was saved because it was an awful penalty not because the keeper moved forward. And I'm not sure he was forward off the line when the ball was struck.
Not sure I could have booked him for that if only cos I'd be laughing too hard! Nah, I'd have booked him alright, might have taken a minute or two longer though...
Javi Gracia to Leeds ? Thought he did well for us generally till the run up to the cup final and aftermath.
Looks like he is getting the job. All the usual ex Watford manager gags coming out. Fair enough but this is Leeds 3rd appointment in a year so they are all at it.
Good luck to him. He gave us some brilliant memories whilst he was here - Chelsea at home & the Wolves semi-final spring immediately to mind. It all seemed to go completely wrong for him after that Wolves game - I often wonder why. And I guess he does too.
I wonder if Bazeley regrets leaving the club after that play-off win as he never got to play top flight football? https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...-career-ex-wolves-walsall-man-darren-bazeley/
He was a home grown star for us and just a journeyman footballer any where else Maybe something our current star players might want to consider, sometimes you are better of at club where the fans love you and you get picked every week
Certainly an odd decision that - maybe he thought that the EPL was beyond his capabilities? I can't really comment as I never saw him play...
I think he saw Wolves as a bigger club with more money but like you say Duggie came through our ranks so you'd hope might have want to stay and give a it go. Sure GT would have said that too - everyone else pretty much got a chance. Think Bazeley was a good full back for the Championship - like to get forward and once scored a hat trick at Southend in a more attacking role. Suspect an agent had a say in things.. Sod laws for him think Wolves got promoted not long after he left!
Nigeria striker Odion Ighalo scored four goals as Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia beat Qatar's Al-Duhail 7-0 on Sunday to reach the AFC Champions League final.
Mapps joining Swindon? https://therealefl.co.uk/2023/02/28...n-set-to-sign-former-premier-league-defender/
