What were the other jocks thinking in Altobelli's race? Carver surely couldn't believe his luck, although Altobelli was impressive still
The (14:30) at Lingfield, a Class-4 Mares' Handicap Chase over 2m4f, gives the mare, Universal Brook, a chance to run a decent race. This sort of event is right up trainer Peter Bowen's street..Distance and going both OK. James Bowen rides for his dad's stable. 4/1 best price, freely-available, at time of writing.
In the finalé at Lingfield (16:45) the probable favourite, Twilight Glory, should give a good account. Alan Johns rides for the Tim Vaughan yard. 7/2 (Wm.Hill/PP) best price at the moment.
Newcastle 500 typewritten at 12s ew never seems to run a bad race so looks a fair bet 630 canberra legend looks bred very well i am not sure about the 5/4 on offer though , , but when you have to look at the breeding side it looks nailed on and you can see why the crookies are scared . I would say def one for the note book at this distance even before the first run.
530 lady lavina 7f and sand go together well in what looks like a tight 4 horse affair 365 in my opinion are very brave offering 9s on this and may regret there generosity

That was the one i was really interested in and after watching that race James Fergasun will be glad he has the privalage of training Cambera . As i said def one for the book and even more so after that . I would say Daniel Muscatt will be begging to get back in the plate.
