Lots of interesting stuff there. Making a success of Brexit was always going to be about taking advantage of what we could now do rather than stewing about what we can no longer do. In ten years time the relationship will look different again. And ten years after that.
Even though Bonko led the Brexit campaign, it was well known he was not that fussed, he could just as easily been part of the remain group. He decided on leave because he reckoned it would help him in his ambition to be PM. When he became PM his proud boast is he got Brexit done.... well apart from the intractable problem of NI. Now that Sunak is attempting to sort out the Gordian knot of NI... this makes Bonko look incompetent in the first place and he wants to be leader again so he stirs up the hard Brexiteers to back him. None of this is for the betterment of NI or the rest of the UK, but all for Bonko's ego and ambition.
Edit, misread your post. The liar didn't say he was pro Brexit... He had two letters on his desk and waited for the Brexit vote. Corbyn on the other hand said he would not tell us his preference and wait for the people to decide. It's not for me to cast stones on which was the worst, but the liar won because he binned his Remain letter.
Yes Corbyn and his ilk eg Tony Benn, were never keen on the EU as seemed to tun for the benefit of large conglomerates not the working individual. I suspect the pro-EU labour shadow ministers made Corbyn rein in his anti-EU tendencies. All part of a complicated mix..
Just underlines their need to be seen as relevant in the eyes of the voter, rather than campaign for what they believed in, what was in the best interests of the country.
Kate Forbes looks pretty nailed on to become Scotlands next FM and leader of the SNP. I'm really hoping that Humza Yousaf springs a surprise because that will be a massive plus for the Union.
She is. She's the opposite to Humza who is a social justice warrior. Humza is the guy who wants the Scottish people to ring the police on their own family members if something offensive is said at the dinner table. He'll continue to push the Gender bill. He'll continue with the same path that has just made the Scottish folk turn against Nicola Sturgeon. Kate Forbes will knock all that on the head and she will score brownie points because of it. I don't she's catholic neither so the unionists might be willing to cut her some slack and listen to her plan for independence.
