Not all bad (looking on the bright side ), if it stays like it is and Brum and Stoke lose, they'll be realistic targets for City to climb above.
.....and another thing. Both QPR and the Wurzels are losing. If again it stays like that, 2 more very catchable targets for City to hunt down. Don't you just love this league.....especially whe you've just won two games back to back................
Together with our result last night, that was a great leveller of a weekend in the Championship. We're on 35 points now with 4 clubs below us and 12th place Swansea are just 7 points above. Between us two are Hull, Preston, Wurzels, Reading, QPR, Brum and Stoke - none are any great shakes and all are catchable.
Indeed OS it’s all to play for - pity about that pesky game in hand for many. City have to play some below them plus some just a handful of points above them. I hate having to rely on other results though…..can avoid that by keeping on getting clean sheets and winning.
As much as Mouchie maybe the magician, Sol is the soul - something we've been lacking at the club since he left that could make all the difference. The divisive regime of the aggressive Morison was replaced by the nice guy but bumbling approach of Hudson. Neither was the answer to what the club needed to pull it out of its' nose dive. It's early days but dare I say it, the board (Tan) has got it right at last. After a difficult start things seem to be on the up. At least we can begin to look forward to games rather than cringing in our seats at the CCS and hiding behind the sofa when away. Right now I'll settle for safety, but harbour the prospect of a good finish to the season making our final table position respectable for fresh start next year.
And hopefully the remaining umbungo will be lifted, VT will put his hand in his pocket and we can sign players who will improve the quality of the team. We can dream!!!
Some of those games that others have in hand on us start to unwind on Tuesday............ please log in to view this image
No surprise there. I remember the so call pundits saying what a good signing he was and that he would be a good fit for QPR. Oh well.
