tbh if you go ahead and use loop holes or just build anyway I would expect those types of planners to be quite vindictive as you've not "respected them"
Officials quite happy to stick to letter of the law/ regulations but don't like it it when Joe public do it and call it loop hole. Planners are there to apply law and regulations not to be vindictive.
Only seen the first episode so far (where he's talking about building the restaurant)... gotta say, after seeing how his farm shop tangled up the roads there and brought everything to a stop, I can see how the locals would be angry at him adding a restaurant to the madness and why planning officers might want to halt him. He's having a lark, but other people in the village have to live, travel, and work in the area.
I might indeed. But I'm also expecting the narrative to be deliberately skewed in his favour on the show. .

yes seen both of those. the issue with amazon is there's not enough stuff in there and they take an age to make more.. it's not currently worth the prime membership as I don't want to spend enough with amazon for free shipping lol.
I actually like Clarkson,think he's a good presenter and at least he's trying to bring the plight of the farmers to the public.Also says things as they are and doesn't pussyfoot around with wokeism.Should never have apologised to Ginge and Minge.
yeah but it's very clear it's him that that planner and council are targeting for whatever reasons bound up in what they did last season etc or perhaps just dislike on politics or Clarkson big mouth as the show demonstrated, nobody turns in and say oh that shop we didn't want and get constant complaints on.. Well your roof should look slate not metal (which every farm hiuling around has) and no it can't be light slate no you get to completely reproof the whole thing. oh and that farm track, stop that you should drive around the public roads with massive tractors instead. the fact they managed to get about a 1000 police cones out around the verges tells.me its a fairly widespread little group that will no doubt look quite poor right now to a lot of people given the fact there was 5 or 6 farmers crying about going out of business.
