The one ounce of hope I’m holding on to. Usually when you have several teams in the mix, with around 10 games to go someone manages to go and put a run of 3 or so wins and a draw or two together. No reason to believe it will be us but with 16 games to go, we have to hold on to that hope for the next 5-6 games. We must not drift more than 2 points away from the safety line. Bournemouth have Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool next. Southampton have Leeds, Leicester Man U West Ham have Forest but three away games, Spurs, Man U Brighton Wolves have Fulham, Liverpool, Tottenham then Leeds We’re going to be favourites for the drop I think if we beat Southampton and Wolves we’ll be on the right side of the line
Ok. The ‘free’ choices decided by social media. Nuno might be this weeks choice, but the Twitterati respond to who shouts loudest. Mob rule… it’s great puts the power back in the hands of the fans. Shame they’re largely a bunch of clueless muppets but they’re our clueless muppets and that’s important.
Whichever way you look at it, no matter which side of the fence you sit, the board we should be forever grateful too are fast undoing the hard work with their spineless approach. It’s the same thing each time, taking too long to react and terrible timing. Radz can no longer say he knows nothing about running a club, I’m actually impressed with how much money has entered the pot but it seems he’s giving Orta a free reign in the on field decisions and appointments. In turn Orta is giving the coaches a free role on player recruitment. Things go tits up and Orta can’t sack the coach as he fully backed his transfer
Doesn’t matter a toss who anyone has to play. We’re not getting to 36 points even if we’d 30 games to play
I think we’ve 18 points in us. I don’t believe Bournemouth or Southampton has, it depends if the others hovering around the danger zone do. Edited this post, I thought you were saying we need another 36 points then realised 36 total, I think we can do it although I’m basing that on what the squad can do on a good day. We really need Rodrigo back too
We haven’t. You’re fooling yourself. Two wins in last twenty games. Two wins. Anyway if by a miracle we survived we’d be down next season. The clubs being run by a bunch of clowns who have learned absolutely nothing over last two seasons. There’s no big name manager/magician arriving. There’s no white smoke. They’re idiots
Orta as DOF will live and die by results. If what we have heard is true, he was backing Marsch and Radz didn't. Most fans agree with Radz but he's not the football man, Orta is. Orta could have been backing Marsch because he chose him and didn't want to lose face... or it could be because he looks at performance statistics like most people in the game and recognised that we really didn't deserve to be where we were - and had faith it would turn. I don't know the answer to the above. If I was in Orta's job, I'd think the best way to save my job was results on the field - and if i felt the best way to ensure that was to change manager then i would. But i'm not him.
Morning all yet another poor morning after a Leeds game. Jesus Christ/ Houdini/Peter Bergsland (who was a real great escapee) Paul Daniels, Just Think Man, theirs gotta be someone who will take the job, even if we had to dig them up.
We have a better squad than last season, we just lack someone to get the best out of them. I don’t think it’s looking great, I think it’s between us and Everton, I think it will probably be us but you can’t give up and throw in the towel with 16 games to go
I’m already getting over my disappointment you’re just postponing yours and will have to face it in a few weeks or less
