In Karius's case, it's probably good he hasn't played any match day football in two years. He needed the mental reset.

Good chance for him to revive his career though if he does well. Lots of eye balls will be on him. One good game could bring him back.

That's not how humans work. One good game won't save him, a hundred good game night help a little bit in reality, one bad game ****ed you up for life

Tbh it wasn't just the game. His cringe reaction afterwards probably killed his career more than anything. Came across as a right fanny.

    No, he just is that.

He simply doesn't care enough to be a top pro.

He was a bad buy day 1 for us, his record in Germany was not great and he had a very nasty habit slapping the ball out in front of goal. Never holds anything. Willing to bet it happens in the final btw.

More interested in modelling than football.

Karius was never good enough for us, but he has enough talent to have had a better career than he has. He's had couple of new starts and never established himself, and he seems to be in the gossip pages more than the football pages. You get the impression it's always been a mental thing with him.

Apologies if it has been posted somewhere else but I’d like to say RIP Christian Atsu, the former Everton, Chelsea and Newcastle player who was sadly found dead 2 weeks after the Turkey earthquake

Second game in row West Ham have got away with a clear handball.

But they've been against Arsenal and Spurs so who cares <laugh>

    unbelievable.

that var person needs sacking whoever they are.

seriously that is an absolute shocker if var is not even asking ref to.make his own mind up.

Webb should actually be grilled by spurs on this and absolutely excoriated in public.

there is no excuse for the ref in question to at the very minimum go look at that on the screen and have to explain himself.

Our last game of the season is at home to Tottenham.I hope fourth place has been settled in our favour before the game.

Don't know, Spurs have a history of bottling those kind of situations

If Dribs says it's Spurs, then it's Spurs.

    man city real issues:

So say man city revert to 4 at the back as you guys suggested and say they use ake at LB as suggested:

    Ederson
Walker Dias Laporte Ake (stones is out)
    KDB Rodri Gundogan/Silva
    Mahrez Haaland Grealish

    Foden seems out of favour.
Silva seems a bit out of favour too.

For me what I am seeing as a "difference" to alst season is like him or not sterling added some pace to that line up. Grealsih offers **** all. Even ina side with 423% possession he slows the ball down, flops over etc. You'd expect anyone in a side with as such possession to have a hand in a few things.

Foden's dropping out has removed a bit of running too.

Mahrez with no disrespect to the guy is now 31 and isn't speeding up is he?

I feel as though the balance is off for city between a lot of samey midfielders and one tall forward rather than a lot of threatening pace like arsenal have (saka and martinelli are quick)

City replaced sane with torres and immediately sold him again.
City have brought in grealish who falls over rather than runs and now sterling is gone.

however the thing is they still have scored plenty of goals but seem to be leaking more. Why? 3 at the back? less tracking? easier to break the press?
