Millwall beat the Blades 3-2 to go 5th. Cresswell palyed the full game and Jamie Shackleton started and went off in the 72nd min when it was 2-1. Didn't watch it but good to see our 2 lads doing well.
Right, what’s our team in the Championship going to look like. Good job we held on to Joffy, Cresswell and Drameh
Klaesson Ayling Cresswell Struijk Dallas Greenwood Roca Summerville Joseph Perkins Gelhardt Can’t be bothered to think of any more and can’t be bothered re formation etc.
Well no one is going to buy Bamford so you can add him. Sad to lose Gnonto so soon. He is going to be a superstar somewhere, wish it could be for us.
I didn’t put Bamford in because he annoys me and I reckon Sonny Perkins will be better than him in the Championship. So give Bamford a free and get shot of his wages.
Sounds great, but as Glasgow Rangers found out, it's no foregone conclusion that you will get rapid promotions.
In Scotland, being the old firm team that looks up the table at their fierce rivals is failure. Rangers downfall came about from throwing money they didn't have at the team. They sought re-election to SL2 & fought their way up the tables. Much slower than expected, with lots of defeats to tiddlers. Can't remember How quickly they got back into the SPL, but it wasn't the doddle they expected & didn't win the leagues back to back.
Just 1 season in the Championship when they lost in the playoffs. The rest they were champions. League One not a bad effort
Patrick Bamford has let this club down for 2 seasons. Surprised he doesn’t fall over walking because his right foot is obviously just for balance. How the fook did he ever get an England call. Jack Harrison should have been left at Liecester. Both should have been taken off at halft time and how the bell is Georginio supposed to show what he can do just getting 10 minutes every game. Skoobs failed to day because he was being loyal to wasters.
You do realise that in 2012/13, the lowest average match attendance was less than 200. The highest was ~5500, entirely because of Rangers presence. Not the largest kitty to buy players. Unlike Rangers. Hence they were expected to sail through the leagues, espacially by Rangers fans. The big surprise for everyone - & I mean everyone - was that they failed to do so. Must confess that I was quite thrilled to see the entitled blue moneymen suffer. And it lasted for years.
..and this is what I've been banging on about for over a year. Doesn't matter who is in charge when the players are so consistently inconsistent. It's a player issue we have at the club.
If we'd appointed Dyche in November we'd now be mid table. Yes we'd be inconsistent and the players would still make mistakes but the points would be on the board.
I just don't want to see us playing Dyche style football. We were never going to sack narrow style jesse that early, and if we did dyche would not have been the answer. We don't have the bully boys to do that. We have creative players but never seem to click. Basically we never replaced pablo, as seen today harrison is not the answer in the middle.
I think Marsch would have kept us up but I refrain from saying so on a regular basis as at this point its just opinion. Is Dyche better than we have now? Sure because we have nobody and probably will for a few more games before panicking and appointing Gerrard which ****s us for next season. I'm expecting us to go very Leedsy from here on but we will beat Southampton next week.
The only positive from yesterday is that dyche and Everton have done that to better sides than us. 451 big physical midfielders disrupting play… they made arsenal look sh*t, and us look sh*tter. It’s Anti football but may keep them up. I look at our squad and don’t see us having the squad to do that effectively, hence why I always thought he would be wrong for us. When many were in tears at the thought, I was hoping Everton would take bielsa - my feeling was he would have relegated them this season then promoted them next. What Dyche is doing with them was fairly predictable
