It is a nightmare. When you're totally, utterly in the **** you hope your players step up and be counted. They're not cheap, we've spent a fkn fortune on this team. Southampton, Bournemouth and Everton did just that. We ****ing didn't. We rarely, if ever, over achieve, which is what we need this squad to do. Aaronsson isn't worth **** all. This isn’t open season on Mes, as all keepers make mistakes and I think he’s very good for his age. Meslier gets plaudits for making some really good saves, but his saves % is actually well below average in the PL. The reality is all keeper’s make good saves. What you need is a keeper who is safe on crosses, who always gets his positioning right, and has decent distribution. He doesn’t tick those boxes for me. A better side and better defence would help him.
For the record I really hope you stay up as the premier league is better with Leeds in it. But I can’t help but think you have that look about you of a team that gets dragged into the bottom 3 out of nowhere and doesn’t escape. IMO your only hope is if you find a manager with experience in relegation battles that can galvanize the team. Similar to dyche at Everton; not really sure who is available in that mold. I would have thought hasenhuttl could have done a job with you if hired 3 games ago, but now I’m not sure.

Bamford’s body language wasn’t right from the start. At the time I was hoping I was imagining it but turns out I wasn’t. He appeared disinterested all game. Missing Rodrigo big time.
Every time I watch it it get worse mate. There’s an angle where they show it from behind Coleman, when the ball goes in there is no one, not even a Leeds player in our penalty area. All he had to do was stand close to his near post for a simple catch. The cross would have gone right across as there was no one there He should be docked his weeks wages for that.
I’ve always rated Meslier highly, probably because he replaced the Spanish clown. Great shot stopper but today’s goal was amateurish. I’ve seen keepers beaten by a cross at their near post loads of times but usually because there are opposition players already in the box so they have to cover that also. But like you say, to be so far off his line when there wasn’t anyone else in the box ffs Oh and while I’m at it he annoys me every time he feigns to roll the ball out to a defender.
