Ref was poor, slow to get his pencil out, for them at least, but think he got both penalty decisions about right tbh
You're a very good team in excellent form. I wouldn't be shocked to see you storming into the playoffs in the last couple of weeks of the season, though you might have left yourselves with too much to do.
cheers again RTB... nice to see much more of a footballing game, think the result was deserved considering the way the game went, i was convinced it was going to be a struggle for either side to score or it was going to be a goal fest. gutted the way it ended though, really want us to get back to starting fast especially at home as getting an early goal or two is far better than trying to hold onto a 1-0 but both teams made a few messes on attack.
Unrelated to this thread, but was having an gamble during the second halves earlier and looked at League One. Thank f**k we got out last season because this season looks much tougher.
Slightly disappointed by the draw from a winning position in the 90th minute. Who wouldn't be? Have a few great weeks so you could say we've been spoiled. As for the penalty, right down in front of me, very disappointing. Not going to slate Hume, but that was very silly. We were on the verge of grinding out a win, then checked it. Onto the next one. Can't win them all, but that today was very avoidable. Chalk it up to experience.
The difference now though is this team will be sitting in the dressing room gutted, not chatting about where they are going for a pint, This team will learn from this.
The home record will do us now and they are a bogey team, funny how Amad got no pen but they did, not getting that 2nd goal as well we will probably beat Rotherham but what next at home, no strikers has cost us.
Should have put money on Bristol getting a pen today, they hadn't had one in 469 days (all competitions) before today. It's so weird how we always seem to end hoodoos like that (losing streaks, strikers goalless runs, etc)
Gutted, just got back, great goal by Clarke, still laughing when Luke got a piggy back. The first time I think we have been caught out by the lack of experience on the pitch. Roll on Rotherham.
Frustrating. We didn't start the opening half hour mind and could have had few complaints if we'd gone behind. We then woke up a bit and had a few moments leading up to HT but that first half wasn't good enough. Second half the game felt more stretched and its a moment of absolute quality from Jack Clarke, its like Arjen Robben, you know hes coming inside but its difficult to stop! We're then on top, loads of tidy build up and a few nearly moments but ultimately lacking that killer edge to finish the game. When thats the case you leave yourself open to something like that at the end, 400 and whatever days - of course that ends with us! Never mind. With our realistic hats on we are where we deserve to be, I think this talk of catching Sheff Utd and going up automatically was over-excitement. Lets finish in the top 6 and see what happens. I feel a bit for Gelhardt as a few were getting on his case for not being on the end of the Paddy Roberts worldie ball second half. Clearly hes better off someone like Ross Stewart and realistically this is what he was brought in for. Its a bastard for us because Stewart would hoover up a chance like that, but we play the hand we've been dealt. Overall I'm not gutted with a point but I'm gutted at the circumstances in which we've ended up with one. They looked tidy and you can see why they're now unbeaten in 10 games. Moment of the game was Luke O'nien hitching a piggy back off their lad when they were on the break, standard Luke but superb ****housery. We go again Tuesday, enjoy your night all.
