10 years since the most iconic assist in footballing history, Carroll should’ve been knighted for it tbh, the goal weren’t too shabby either.

One of my favourite goals ever! I know you were being sarcastic, but the entire contribution of Bale in that goal was exceptional. What a talent. Shame he never achieved anything in his career....<whistle>

With Spurs playing tomorrow I took in the game at resurgent Gillingham who were playing AFC Wimbledon with 3 ex Spurs involved Johnny Jackson AFC manager, Chris Gunter started and George Marsh came off of the bench for about the last 10 minutes. Gunter IMO was very lucky to stay on the field committing a number of fouls before eventually getting booked and then being involved in sum handbags on the touchline where he certainly appeared the main protagonist. Marsh came on with Gills sitting deep defending their lead and whilst he seemed to have little impact it would be unfair to offer any judgement for 10 mins in losing cause.

Terrible match with AFC seeming to be trying recreate the crazy gang, very little football, lots of fouls both tactical and cynical, and a very petulant attitude, but The Gills came from behind to record their 6th win in 8 since new owners arrived and bought with them some better players!
