I almost put a bracket saying "Lesta Gangsta, I know you're going to deny this but I don't give a ****" or something to that effect but changed my mind. You Leicester fans are so predictable, obsessed with preaching to everyone that you have the best squad in Europe bla bla...
Thanks alot George, I just followed your advice and asked Sunderland fans what they think of Darren Bent, and they've bloody banned me for it! First time I've ever been on their board too...
THETIGERSHULL always fondly (I think anyway) calls me George, doesn't mean the rest of you can say it
Sorry George, just seen others say it, sadly it's stuck now. And where's my apology for tricking me into getting banned from Slumberlands board? Your at fault...
Probably just TTH, though it might catch on now :/ I offer no apologies I'm afraid. The reaction you got proves the point, taking a backwards step just for money in football will not win you any fans.
But come on, saying Leicester is a back step after Hull is not very realistic is it? I mean, I'm being nice to you guys because I know you're hurting, but lets keep things in perspective. Hull are a decent-sized club, but their history is mainly outside the top flight (or maybe top two flights actually) and you've never won anything. Plus you don't have the money, fanbase or infrastructure that we do. I wish you luck, honestly I do, but don't get bitter and resort to childish name calling or making ridiculous claims, this just makes you look pitiful.
Thing is Kitchy this is footaball not anything else, it's driven by the heart, which is why people pick a club (or it picks you) and you STICK with it. Another example driven by the heart. You have a lovely girlfriend, yeh. You stick with her and she says your great. A few months later a guy with a better car comes along, and more spare wedge yeh, (and probably a bigger item of personal equipment) yeh. She dumps you. Do you call her a bitch and slag her off, or do you say.....well you can't blame her, he is better looking than me and he's got a ferrari, and you should see the wedge he's spending. Good luck love thanks for everything.
You're going down the history route like a Leeds fan. Tell me, what the **** does that have to do with anything at all that goes on now? We are a recently relegated PL side and Leicester are a recently promoted League 1 side. Few would agree that this actually matters right now so to even suggest that us being **** in the 90s has anything to do with the current 'size' of a club or more relevantly NP's choice of club is nonsense. Your argument should have centred around your club's money, because that's what makes you a big club right now. However that is cancelled out by us having a better team at the moment, and the job being a million times more stable. Who knows, after January you might well have a better team than us, espcially if we get a **** manager but for now you don't and so it isn't a move a manager would make for footballing reasons. Also no one called anyone any names, not sure why you brought that up.
Not at all. I'm talking about past, present AND future. We spend one season in our history in the third tier, and we romped it. Would you consider Blackpool a bigger club than you because they've been in the Prem more recently? The money men came to our club, as opposed to yours, as we were a more attractive proposition. It's questionable that you have a better team. Until recently you had more stability, but that's just gone too. How can a manager being offer £8 to spend, as opposed to having bugger all at Hull, not be for footballing reasons? I believe I was told I had no credibility. Plus: "You Leicester fans are so predictable, obsessed with preaching to everyone". I'm not here to WUM but to discuss what people think will happen to our two respective clubs now.
My point about us having a better recent history was to prove that history doesn't matter one tiny bit. You seem to have missed the point a bit. To answer your question, no I don't think Blackpool are bigger than us based on their current fanbase stadium, etc. though they do have some good players (but Stanley Matthews certainly doesn't come into it because that was 50 years ago). Ergo, being good once upon a time does not make Leicester a massive club (nor anyone else). The reported £8m to spend in January will be used to get his own players in and replace some of your 'big name' players. He's already got his own team here so there'd be no need for the £8m he has a team here which under his guidance were heading back to the PL, so to jump ship to a team where he has to start the job again makes no sense. Are you getting a bit confused? You said I had no credibility. As for my comment on your predictability. I had considered giving you your own little bracket telling you not to bother telling me how small a club we are and how mighty Leicester are so sure was I that you would do so. I was right. If that constitutes childish name calling or offends you in any way then you're nearly as precious as your new manager.
