I particularly like what he said about finding the best starting XI and continuity of team selection with an identity. I've always been a believer of picking the best starting team and sticking with it and then players learn each other's game and things become automatic as with JWP and Oriol's long partnership in CM.
Hope the players do him proud. Found him really smart and engaging and I’d happily play for him. Impressed me.
Let's go Any points out of this would be excellent A great high energy performance would be fabulous All 11 Chelsea players remaining on the pitch would be lovely
Good team clearly, but there will be an expectation after a decent performance in Europe to replicate at home. We know Potter is under pressure, though a calm character. If we can get at them early and get a goal, could be interesting. Think Sulemana could be really instrumental today. Think seeing square pegs in square holes could be really interesting if not too much of a presumption!
No real expectations today, it would just be nice to see us come out with a clear identity and sense of what the manager is trying to do.
Another game of two halves coming up after which the team scoring the most goals wins and gets three points.
Haven’t seen the press conference but read a little in the media and the stand out comment, as to why things hadn’t gone so well, was his comment about an “over reliance on young players”. It will be interesting to see how he tries to balance the team with a combination of young and experienced.
I had actually typed out a post about how you would be pleased, as he's easily our most photogenic manager in years, but then I thought that was a bit presumptive of me...
More good news. Mrs Jab is cooking sop buntut, Indonesian oxtail soup proper greasy chin eating to celebrate three points today.
I have pretty much excepted we are relegated. But I feel slightly optimistic about today's game. It's a free hit. Sellés has been saying all the right things. So let's get behind him and the team. COYR! We've got Sellés. Rubén Sellés. I just don't think you understand...
Just watched the Sellès pre match interview. What a breath of fresh air. Not about him, about the players; not about his previous record, about now. Seems very knowledgeable and actually has a plan. Chalk and cheese to our old PE teacher. Let’s see if the solution was actually hiding in plain sight.
Agreed, I wish him all the best...on this evidence it makes SR's decision to appoint Natty J over this guy even more incomprehensible.
On the bus to the tube station. No blind optimism here; no crushing sense of impending doom either. Give us a spirited performance Saints, that’s all I want to see.
Yep, it's all about building a team to compete now and togetherness is massively important, the last 3 months were wasted but we have to move forward with a purpose from now on.
