Point 1, Neymar is ****. Point 2, Qatar was asked to bid by the lawyer acting for the Glazers on the sale or investment. It's not like they've come in off their own back. Their bid won't be the highest and it's all a ploy to get a better price elsewhere. Point 3, we've spent very wisely since Murtough and Ten Hag have come in. I don't see that changing with any new owner. The days of fanboy DickEd Woodward spending on superstar mercenaries are long gone.
Reading about United sale. Most of it will be tax free because their registered office is in the Cayman Islands after moving from old Trafford. How the **** is it legal to move and English prem teams office to the Cayman Islands?
Life long United fan I bet he set up the "92 Foundation" at 10am this morning lol. And after all that sensationalised sizzle by that nobhead, at the end he doesn't know what the bid is. And why the fck are you posting this on the Livpl board Munse ffs.
Ask yourself how was is floated on the new York and not London stock market. Realistically they should have been told at the time where to door was by the Premier league to at least pretend to care about their fans
You've got to not care, but unfortunately Man united are going to move to the next level so you'll be forced to pretend you don't care. They really won't have a ceiling.... my lot do but they'll be able to take spending to a new level.
I think it mattered 20 yrs ago when Chelsea got bought, but now it's all a bit meh. What's happening on the pitch with us at the moment is far more interesting. If it was Ole this might be a welcome distraction, but now it's just "cba get it done or stfu".
All i require from any new owners is that they clear the debt the Glazers have saddled us with, spend money on the ground and training facilities and DON'T take money out. If all that happens we are more than capable of competing with other clubs in the transfer market and will be around £30m per year better off (Glazer average yearly take out) without any new sponsorship which may arrive from success we may have.
So glad it's them and not us. Keep their like well away from our club. I'd rather be mid-table for the foreseeable than let them anywhere near us.
I believe FSG are trying to unload your club? let's just wait and see how you feel after a couple of years with new Arab owners
They just turned down a Qatar bid for a share in the club. John Henry doesn't appear to be keen on the sportswashers. Football is dying on it's feet if your lot accept this bid. It's so sad what the game is becoming.
Yeh I agree with that. But I like the way we're building now under Ten Hag. I also want that to continue, and him to continue to build a team based on what his original plan was, and that someone else doesn't make the decisions about who we buy and sell. If we end up buying a string of Sterlings, Grealishes etc with a squad of two first teams like City who are capable of walking the league then it would become sterile for me. I've always liked the drama, the fact I'd be worried if Keane was out so Nicky Butt was coming in, or Ruud was out so we were relying on Forlan, or Neville was out so Sir Wesley Brown had to play there. I don't want every player covered with another worldie on the bench. Where's the drama there, as I said all becomes a bit sterile imho.
