I'd agree with four goals, but do you consider that our defence can stop Chelsea scoring at all?

 

The way I see it is this. We've got a better squad now than for a long time, yes, they need to gel etc etc but I'd put as many players on the park who are not part of the old era and send them out with a simple message, remember the colour of your mates shirts, get the ball to them, quickly, accurately and make we score one more than them. Oh, if we're winning and two minutes left, just keep the ball or row Z is the tactic until the whistle blows.
We can do this COYR!!!!!

 

Brinkworth, are you applying for the manager's post? You've highlighted several issues that have escaped the players recently, like passing to the players with the right colour shirts, and scoring one more than them.
Separately, I played rugby at a very low level, and one useful tactic, if we were winning with a few minutes left, was to hoof the (only) ball into the neighbouring gardens. This usually meant that the ref would give up waiting for the ball to be returned, and finish the game early.

 

They made an enquiry through my agent but she politely turned them down on the grounds of I'm too old now for that sort of thing!

 

I wonder if Bazunu could be relied upon to lob the ball into the Itchen (the river, not the stand)?

Frazer could have, but probably not intentionally.

OK, so we are entering a new era with what looks like Ruben Selles seeing us through

I can't hide my disappointment that SR have not brought in a more experienced manager.

However I have dug deep and come up with 3 positives on having Selles in charge.

1. He has been around the team and knows the players well
2. Has been around under Ralph and NJ and just needs to do the opposite
3. Bananarama haven't sung a song about him.
