Of course I want us to win every game and if I thought we could I wouldn't have posted what I did in the first place. However I just don't think we will. I don't want us to be a perpetual also-ran, equally I don't want us to be a yoyo team. I do think we have a great opportunity to go up next season with a stronger squad and a better chance of staying there a bit.

Sometimes it takes a bit of yoyo-ing to establish a team in the PL. Sides have done it to decent effect. It's all part of the process of gradually building a team and increasing revenue for the war chest.

I think selection was wrong d seen Norwich a few times they are very mobile and athletic compared to us , so we needed runners to compete, neither Seri nor Woods would ever keep up. They got on top of us so quickly because we are pretty ponderous and doubled up and took the ball off us . I thought they’d Lois the effort after about 60 but they didn’t

I'm inclined to agree, but we don't know what the thinking was behind the lineup and of course its always easier to judge with hindsight. Actually I felt he got the subs wrong at Stoke and was scratching my head a bit as to why Doc and Tufan weren't starting at Norwich. I suspect some of it was down to playing 3 games in 8 days. Be interesting to see the lineup on Sat.

Me. Said it all season. Don’t think we should’ve signed him at all tbh. He’s gash. Can’t run, can’t tackle, bang average passer. Brum fans were spot on. Bet they’re pissing themselves laughing we paid a fee for him to get him off their wage books.

Against teams that sat deep like Blackpool and Wigan and allowed us to pass the ball around and dominate possession. Against teams that press high and play high up the field like Norwich, Sheff Utd etc. it doesn’t work because they get absolutely bullied and ran through. I’ve seen old women with canes move faster than Woods.

Consensus on the Hull and Back pod was that they were too similar also. Wonder if that's enough digging for Cave.

No it didn’t. It worked against a few of the worst teams in the league in Cardiff, Rotherham and Blackpool. Anyone half decent it didn’t work well. We’ve won 1 game under Rosenior with that midfield pairing.

The claim was that Seri and Woods definitively don't work together. We weren't talking about only against the top teams or only games under Rosenior. It was just that they don't work together full stop. Which demonstrably isn't true.

it is though in my opinion
they are the same player, we are too good for the likes of blackpool and wigan, that having no defensive quality in the middle can be forgotten due to our quality on the ball

i honestly can't digress just how poor those teams are

It is true. You can’t succeed in this league playing 2 players like that together. Which is probably why Rosenior has since sacked it off which has lead to our best patch of form for the season:emoticon-0110-tongu

What is the complaint then? Rosenior favours Doc, but he rotated him out in the middle of a 3-game week and the next best available midfielder was Woods. Are you just pining for Simons based on knowing practically nothing about him or do you think he should just never rest players?

I’m pining for Simons based on the fact that Rosenior wants him permanently, so clearly he feels he is good enough yet won’t play him over the ever disappointing Woods

It does seem weird that he wanted him so much and doesn't play him, but it must be a future potential thing. Clearly he doesn't think he's good enough now and we can only go along with that since we've barely seen him play.

Thought that one was weird at the time. He clearly wasn't good enough for this level. Makes sense to talk our players up though.

He wants him permanently but won't play him now, surly that tells you how Rosie sees him
