One Million Years BC : Harryhausen epicness + Racquel Welch in bikini. Not too much more a young boy in the 70s could ask for.
RIP! Lovely lady by all accounts. Talking of hard. I reckon she did more for Kleenex profits in the '60's than any advertising campaign! Hope they shared the dividend with her!
Now I don't watch much womens football, but I saw the furore over this at the weekend and it was also discussed on Ref watch on Monday where everyone was agreement that the red card was justified though the Spurs player reaction was questionable, both of which I agree with, but this sets an interesting precedent and allowing Toone off the obvs violent conduct (which her reaction suggested she accepted) is a very poor decision.
I'm sure we'll hear The FA talking about the habitual deception of referees by Salah et al anytime soon...
So can we expect consistency here and see bans left, right and centre? Theo Hernandez v Kulusevski in the Milan game, for example? Every Arsenal player who rolled around holding their ankle when untouched in that game? **** no. This is just a warning not to do it against Utd.
The trouble is that FA will say that the Premier league and Champions league are policed by VAR so occurrences like this would be picked up by that LOL. As I said the violent conduct occurred regardless of the reaction, I have no problem with the Spurs player being charged, but the Red card should not have been rescinded.
When is a precedent not a precedent? When you try and claim that something was done in favour of ManU, and the same thing happened again ..
I take it that Utd will be charged for surrounding the ref, too? No? I'm shocked... The initial foul and push were pure filth because she didn't get a throw-in. No way should she get the red rescinded, regardless of the push on the ground.
Bruce Willis' family has announced that he has dementia. This has been something of an open secret for quite a few years now. He supposedly had to have his lines given to him via an earpiece in a number of recent films. Very sad stuff. Poor bloke.
He was using an earpiece when he did Misery on Broadway in 2015. There were rumours of it happening in his films since then and his parts were cut and limited. Pretty blatant in this scene, for example: Just trying to keep going and make money for his family, apparently.
Dementia is one of the cruelest diseases/ syndromes there is. Saw it completely destroy my Grandad. He passed at 92 but he wasn’t really living for the final year or two of his life, just essentially existing in an empty vacuum. After he passed my Nan massively deteriorated and ended up passing 6 months later, they’d been together since in their teens. Today’s actually the fourth anniversary of his passing too. To be diagnosed at 67 is awful, I can only hope Willis in his position has access to the best medical care and treatment to try and slow the progression as much as possible.
