João Félix looked very impressive when I was watching Saturday’s game against WHU. He made some excellent runs between the CBs, something to be aware of. Hopefully Skate Mount will be injured for this one as he likes to rise to the occasion against us.
I do fear this one a bit, as I think Chelsea are due to give someone a full battering shortly. They've been good but without quite having the end result. Hoping that continues, and we get a new manager bounce going. Very tough one to call in some ways. Would almost prefer this one not to be Marsch's first match.
Yes, they haven't quite clicked yet - no surprise really given how many signings they made. If they could kindly hold off on gelling for another week that would be fantastic.
Isn't Selles in charge for this one? Unless I've missed something (entirely possible), Marsch hasn't been appointed, yet
Selles is training the team in preparation. Suspect Marsch will have been appointed and in the dugout by then.
This would suggest that the Board (or Boar, possibly) have pulled their collective fingers out and are actually trying to make things happen. It's almost as if they have a vested interest in Saints doing well
————Bazunu————- -KWP DCC Salisu Perraud- ———JWP Lavia———— -Orsic Alcaraz Sulemana- ——— Onuachu———— No more 5 at the back ****ery that simultaneously manages to remove attacking threat and open huge gaps in our defence. Let’s give ourselves some structure and y’know actually play our signings.
That’s the team, maybe edozie in for Orsic, or we’ve got 3 new players together in attack, behind a new striker.
For me I'd go with this; Bazunu; KWP, DCC, Salisu, Perraud; Lavia, JWP; Stuey, Alcaraz, Sulemana; Onuachu. Macca, Bree, ABK, Diallo, Ely, Edozie, Orsic, Mara, Adams.
Do you remember when we used to do that, fairly regularly? When the build up to the game wasn't always full of dread?
I remember beating Chelsea last August coming back from a goal down to win 2-1 courtesy of Romeo and AdzArm. I started watching that game in my usual optimistic mood, it doesn't always end so well. I wouldn't want the team to go out with the lost before KO attitude that some on here have.
Chelsea looked pretty good at times last night despite not getting a result and that was away against an inform Dortmund side. Can see this ending 4-0.
