Gutted Andoni Iraola has accepted the interim managers job at Barwell FC how bad can things get for Leeds
Indeed but the dewy eyed comparison with Cellino rather misses the point that Coco was far more likely to lead us back to League One than the Premier League. I remember having a long debate with a guy in Billy's a few years ago explaining why I thought Rads would be far better for us than Coco and that I believed he would get us back to the Premier League after so many years of waiting. If only I could remember who I had that conversation with
I don't think there is any chance at all that they haven't spoken to the likes of Cooper and Ayling etc and asked their opinions and are comfortable biding their time. It isn't like Skubala is going to take them to Goodison and explain how to play football - these are professional footballers we are talking about. By the time we play Southampton, it will have been 4 games in two and a half weeks, even Pep wouldn't change much in that timeframe
No mate. It was just a tongue in cheek take on your comment that anyone with no PL experience would set us back at the moment.
I’d be gutted if he was the long term answer, I’m not happy with the situation but it’s making the best of a mess we’d got into I don’t need any longer to see we are better off without Jesse. Two games against Man U and our shape was much better. I’m not excited about Skubala being in charge, I’m relieved we’ve ditched a liability who was definitely taking us down, now we have a fighting chance.
Indeed I read an article this morning that said Orta has had a meeting with a senior group of players and they’re happy with how things are and have given their support to Skubala and Armas
I'm not saying he will be a success and I'm certainly not judging him after only two games, but he knows the players, system etc etc and if we play against Everton and Southampton like we did against scum then I really think we can beat them.
You could argue that he got a draw in his first game and lost the second so his results are already heading downward
Regarding the PL experience, I’m mainly referring to the links to Gallardo, Slot and Iraola. Put them in charge ready for a new season and it’s a different matter
But even under Marsch we were impressive against the top sides, Arsenal Chelsea Liverpool. All our problems and our position in the table stems from poor performances against the so called lesser clubs. Therefore Im reading nothing into were better or worse till we have these next two games successfully under our belt and six points hopefully. Hopefully Scooby is up to it
I’m only trying to put a light hearted slant on what is a complete clusterfuck. In all seriousness I believe the current coaching team takes us down. I don’t blame them as they are in place out of necessity. JM was a mistake and no succession plan was amateurish.
