Courtesy of a mistimed pass from another player who probably would have been a Spurs player if Tanganga didn't have a storming game at RB against the Mansourites

Now, is there any way Saido Berahino can cause Anthony Taylor to miss the Runners' next game against Top 6 opposition...?

The Citeh sports psychology team probably told him
the trauma that comes from Citeh playing at new WHL
    passes soon enough.

1 point from 9 for Arsenal in February.
Traditionally, that’s when they’ve gone into meltdown.
You’d think Wenger was still manager.

That's not a great corner, is it?

As long as Arteta similarly wins the Wenger PL top 4 cup,

That's got to be the first time I've seen a corner beat all 22 men

@PleaseNotPoll I told you we weren't going to win tonight. Our defence hasn't looked the same and the nerves got to us in the second half. This team have no experience of being in this position and you could tell. We played well first half, but second half, City assumed control and looked like their old selves.

City have won 4 of the last 5 leagues and are incumbent champions for a reason.

Top-4 and winning Europa would probably have been our objective at the start of the season. I still maintain that's what we should be aiming for and I'd still be delighted if we achieve that.

You didn't play badly at all as it happens. Couple of individual errors which they capitalised on but overall it's not like they bossed the game and kept Ramsdale busy all evening. If you want to see a shambolic defence in action just watch us <laugh>

Where I would be concerned if I were you is you don't have much by way of thrust or physical presence up front. You usually see a lot of the ball in the final third but it all seemed over-complicated and too intricate, like you're trying to pass the ball into the back of the net. One goal from open play in your last four games is a cause for concern. Tonight as well, you had around 65% possession and technically not a single shot on target (the penalty counting as the only 'registered' one). Against City in a game of this magnitude, that discrepancy is unforgiveable.

I can't get too excited about Arsenal losing because of who beat them.

Get excited about Chelsea losing to Dortmund instead, despite a match day squad worth £700m. :1980_boogie_down:

Yeah, I think Nketiah's been a decent deputy for Jesus, but you can see his influence wearing off the last few games and defenders have got wiser to his style of play (although he did win the penalty tonight). I also think he was quite profligate with some of his chances. I know strikers can miss chances, and no forward will have a 100% conversion rate, but in games like this, you need to maximise those opportunities. Haaland had very few clear chances, yet took the one that came his way. That epitomises the difference at this level when the margins are so small.

Unfortunately, I do worry about the effect this will have on the team moving forward. We seem to be in a bit of a rut and I don't see how or where it's going to change. If we're not careful, we're going to be dragged into a top-4 race which would be a massive shame for us given the position we put ourselves in.

It's certainly a hard loss to take. Villa away and Leicester away next are two potential banana-skins. If we don't get maximum points, then we're in trouble.

Fair point, but equally City winning the league is just the norm now and much as we may despise the way they have got to this position, thats just the status quo now whereas the goons winning the league under Arteta is just about as bad an outcome as i can currently envisage and seeing as though I personally only know 1 city fan, but work with countless gooners who will all be unbearable if that happens, then I will take a City win everyday of the week.

Coincidentally, that season they were first at the end of week 10, 16, and the four week period between 19-22

Amazing how much projection their fanbase is capable of, isn't it?
