Mate just got back from Milan and sent a pic on the group chat, Sandro was in the away end last night and they all grabbed a pic with him. What a bloke.
When I was younger going to the theatre was way way more expensive but with ticket deals it is much cheaper to go to the theatre than premier league football. Some shows at the London Coliseum are as cheap as £10 for adults. I saw the Nutcracker Ballet there in 2007 with my daughters and Mrs RCL. (never wanted them scared of "posh" theatres like I was) For the 4 of us (2 adults and an 10 Yr old and 5 year old) cost £70 in total including booking fees. Going to Spurs at that time for the 4 of us was £110 including booking fees). Tickets to West End shows or classical music shows are also found much cheaper than football tickets. Tickets at the Globe Theatre are available for less than a tenner at different times of the week. Also, people do not have loyalty to a particular theatre company and do not have family attachments to theatre companies so there are big differences between going to see your team and going to a show. If financial rules limited clubs to spending a maximum of buying £100m on new players per window (including agent fees) and spending £100m per season on wages it would massively reduce the running costs of clubs and would stop clubs stock piling players and spending such outrageous amounts on wages for pretty average footballers. That would allow all clubs to drop ticket prices. There simply is not the will across Europe to do it. It's a bit like there is no political will to impose fair taxes on corporations or the rich in order to pay people fairly and fund public services.
I remember as a youth turnstyle operators putting two kids at a time through to "make a buck!"...6d a go,(I think!?) Wonder how much they pay 'em today?
There's also the most glaring issue: we were expecting Son to play a role where he plays with his back to goal when there's years of evidence that isn't his game, while we had somebody who has years of evidence that playing with his back to goal is their game sat on the bench In other words, we were asking Sonny to be Richy on the pitch while Richy was sat on the bench, and to explain that I shall hand you over to a greater mind than I to describe the issues inherent in such an approach
About 6 of us paid £10 each on the gate to get into the '82 Cup Final....and there were hundreds before and after us. To get from the concourse to the stands, you had to borrow a ticket stub off someone who had one. Half the fans I asked didn't have one either...
Yes, we found some helpful ticket holders in the end. Not the most memorable of games. My main memory was getting soaked in extra time and walking home absolutely sopping wet. We were back the next day to get tickets and were in the first 10 people to get served. Living in Wembley had its advantages. .
My mates and I used to stand near the front at the North end in the early 60's when the the crowds were body to body.Funny! When it snowed or poured of rain you hardly felt it because we were packed like sardines. Good fun though.

I am going tomorrow, hope the team turns up. Team and fans will need some patience tomorrow as Milan only need a draw and will likely set there stall out for just that. I hope that having Conte back actually gives the team a kick up the backside and they play like it matters. I can see extra time tomorrow night and ultimately a very frustrating evening where we appear to be in control as we seemed to be in the last 2 matches but don't make it count. As for the team Diers absence means that either Sanchez or Perisic has to start unless Conte springs the biggest surprise in history and picks a flat back 4. I expect Forster, Romero, Lenglet, Davies, Emerson, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Perisic, Kulu, Kane and Son.
"Hope the team turns up!" That's the Tottenham story these days.I can't see us winning the CL but do your best Spurs, that's all we want (plus a win!)
Whatever possible starting XI is closest to that of the Citeh game, I would go with that as the core.
Luckily for Spurs, I've currently got a particularly unpleasant throat/chest infection so the result and/or performance couldn't make me feel much worse On the plus side, it turned out to be quite useful when some Jehova's Witnesses showed up on my doorstep and I got rid of them PDQ by telling them I have Covid, because I sound croaky enough for it to be plausible...
All Milan will have to do is sit back on the edge of their own box and defend their goal advantage, Spurs lack creativity and rely on playing on the counter, Milan will probably leave no space and ask us to break them down. I can see a frustrating night and wouldn`t be surprised if Milan pinch a goal from an opportunistic set piece after we huff and puff without a cutting edge. Obviously, I hope I am completely wrong and we fly out of the blocks and score some early goals. COYS
