I'm looking forward to this one, hopefully the boys will do the bizzo to continue our good current form. I'll be there to boost the vocal support
With Fleetwood at the Valley on Saturday and FGR away three days later, an excellent opportunity for Charlton to take our points tally up to 43 from 30 games played and rise to the top of the group of 'mid-table' teams below the bottom 9. It may not lead to a meaningful attack on the top 6. Probably too late for that. But it would be great to feel more positive about the team and what Dean Holden is achieving. Yes, there are doom-laden clouds overhead regarding a take-over and more con-men getting their hooks into the Club. But if the lads can complete a run of 6 wins from 7 league games Charlton fans can at least enjoy that.
Looking forward to these two, but like last Saturday, I have other stuff going on, so I'll be watching it on the mobile phone.
In stark contrast to my optimistic post before we lost against Fleetwood... Charlton have played 12 games against teams in the bottom 11 of the table - and not won any of them. FGR are rock bottom. If we beat them it will be bucking a dreadful trend this season.
If we play the way we did on Saturday it's a home banker. I think Morgan should return, at least you know you're getting 100% from Albie.
Get in! Our 4th away win of the season I think 5,000 word match report awaited from Elfs. The stats suggest Forest Green had a go in the second half...
Terrible performance. FGR schooled us second half, but they are bottom for a reason. But we were overrun second half.
No surprise that we played poorly, but a win's a win. And we need the points to keep a gap with the relegation spots. So glass half full for me. The off-field shenanigans is affecting everyone, and must be affecting morale on the field too. Credit to this poor team and especially the manager for getting 5 wins from 7 under the circumstances.
Agreed it is a worry that morale may be collapsing. 40 points won't keep us up. Sor far this season we've avoided any real beatings from the form teams. But some ambitious teams are caning half decent opponents now. If we get a few 5 or 6 goal lashings like we did under the wonderful Mr Fraeye, we could still be heading for League Two.
Still got a possible 48 points to play for - surely we’ll get some out of that lot! And the teams already down there have got to get a few wins just to catch us up - think we should be ok
