So Kane broke the record of some old codger that is now dead and we should celebrate that. Even Jimmy himself would laugh at that.

Carlisle were probably going out of business if they went down. A keeper who they had just got in on loan scored for them in the 91st minute to win the game they had to win. That's a pretty close escape in fairness, was mental.

Not broken yet mate, Greaves had two goals in the charity shield which are ignored because Kane has never been in a team that has qualified for it.
Special player Greavsie ... scored goals that Hazza couldn't possibly aspire to with his balance and dribbling skills ... and all that in an era where defenders were allowed attempted knee displacement tackles ... not sure how many pens were in Greavsie's total ... but I suspect considerably less than Hazza ...
Not a great time for top strikers around Europe at the moment so it's easier to make the claim I think.
I've never checked, but I often wonder how many golden boots went on to win a league title that same season, well I know the answer for Kane without even looking it up on google, and how many times has Kane won the golden boot, 3?
Yet players such as Henry and Vardy achieved that fate, oh and not forgetting Shearer, so where does that leave Kane now in the hall of fame lol. To think in generations to come, kids will be asking, grandad did Kane win Spurs lots of trophies with all this goals.

I was listening to said pundits and they were genuinely trying to convince the world that Kane breaking Shearer's premier league goals record would be a bigger achievement than winning a trophy. Morons like Danny Murphy.
Given he plays for the spuds they could have a kind of point
When he turns up regularly in big games I'll start to take him seriously.
He's a very clinical boring striker.
I really get nothing out of watching him play and wouldn't have him anywhere near our team/squad.
