I would have taken 1-0 at kick off tbh.

No Dier in the second leg and I sincerely hope no Son or Perisic either.

Sarr excellent and MOTM, Skipp also very good.

No one else turned up. Though there’s a large amount of senior quality players severely underperforming in this team, it can’t be a coincidence, manager is killing us, leave him in Italy and get someone else in tonight, sick of it.

1-0 FT. Another poor performance with a dodgy team selection and crap subs.
Conte won't change the system or move the players within it.
The ref was particularly Calciopoli-ish, too. Useless ****er.

Another defeat and a poor performance overall, despite playing some half decent football in the first half. Sarr fantastic, Skipp and Emerson pretty good.

still in the tie, but has anyone actually got any confidence to suggest that we can turn this around? It doesn’t seem like the players have much faith anymore.

I can see Levy pulling the trigger soon, to be honest.

Said before hand that we needed to keep the loss below 3 goals to give us something to play for in the return game.

    Amazingly we managed it

No, seriously, what do we do in training that makes us such experts in being unable to pass to a teammate?

Anyway, since we're entering Operation Mindfuck territory, how about we play Skippy as a CCB from now on?

1 - 0 is a poor result for a home tie in Europe. We should be able to overcome that in the second leg.

    Should being the word.

I’m so done with Conte now I’d welcome Poch back instantly. Can’t be any worse than the **** we’ve been served up this season, this squad is capable of playing far better.

I think xG is bullshit, but we don't create anything and we can't defend in most games.
That's not a winning formula and it's dull as ****.
We don't have the players to play the system we're using and Conte won't change it.
    It's ineffective and boring.

Genuine question: is it possible to sack Conte, but keep Stellini?

Stellini showed a better understanding of how we should set up last week than Conte has shown in months, not just in balancing between pressing and sitting back but also subbing off Son after 70ish minutes - even though Sonny was having a good game, a sentence we rarely use when Conte places system over personnel yet again

I'd certainly be curious to see a Stellini/Mason pairing until the end of the season

Dare I suggest the reason why is because Skipp and Sarr haven't had their game beaten out of them for 3-4 months?

Similar can be said of Gil and Danjuma running at defenders when they get minutes, which we so rarely see from the usual starters
