Think we spent £20m on him largely because we missed out on other targets. I don't think he fits Marsch's style terribly well, but it's still good to have different looks. I think we might be seeing more of Mara honestly.
This is part of the reason I'm open to the risk. Our schedule is brutal. We don't need a manager to come in and grind out 0-0s; we need to recklessly chase wins at every opportunity, including against top teams.
this is a good move. a manager who can hit the ground running having played most of the teams in the league already. He will have done his research on chelsea and have a game plan. we are not saved but back on track.
When we do start firing on all cylinders, and actually beat the top teams, each of the teams that we beat will have had an off day, and the referee, and VAR, will have favoured Saints. Each victory will be our last, we won't be able to put together a run of results, and if all else fails, pundits will tell the world JWP would do far better in a 'top' team.
Don’t know if it’s already been posted but Leeds we’re supposedly after Che, which I presume was JM? Maybe he feels he can get him performing in “his” side? Maybe he’ll coach Che into Salah Mk2 Here’s hoping!
Marsch was in charge of Leeds for 37 PL games (over this season and half of last) and finished with 43 points from those games. I think we'd all take similar right about now!
That record would give us 18.6 across our last 16 games. Leaving us on 33.6. Touch and go whether that’s be enough
Tbh if he even gets us back in the fight then he will deserve credit, even if we ultimately go down. I mean looking at both possibilities, if some good form returns to the club before the end of this season it can do wonders for either promotion next season, or an improved PL performance next time out.
Only if we’ve been against a Top 6 team. And even then I imagine us being there was an inconvenience to his viewing
