I just thought I’d pop over to see how things are over the other side of the Severn.
We are still as **** as Sparky said we are - and it’s breaking my heart. I hope my sheep-worrying pals over here are enjoying better times…… <cheers>
I cry every time I look at the league table page :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Good morning BCFC. Nice to hear from you now that you have managed to climb away from the relegation places.

Things are not looking too good this side of the bridge but we live in hope. Looking forward to turning your lot over next month and locking horns again next season.

Greetings BCFC. Hope you and yours are keeping well.
Can't help thinking that you might be having a little fun at our expense there, you little devil. But it's fair to say we've been suffering for a while but as Irish says, we live in hope of our revival and taking our rightful place as king's of the Severn river, estuary and channel (don't like leaving our cousins out).
Anyway, well done on your team's steady climb to safety. Hope it continues tomorrow.

Hi R&W. Haven't been across there for a while now - how's the transgender thread going?..........<laugh>

No doubt we're in the ****. No point beating about the bush and being polite about it. We are where we are as a combination of several things - poor players, poor management, poor directors and probably poor half time team talks by the tea lady.

I will say you lot have put a spurt on recently and climbed away from the trap door - well done for that. We on the other hand have succumbed to low expectation levels in the fanbase. I can put up with that, but can't accept that same attitude amongst the players and staff. They seem devoid of confidence and direction and it shows on the pitch.

The drop down 3 are a long way from decided yet, and I'd say that anyone in the bottom half of the table right now is still a candidate for the trap door. As for ourselves, we'll know a lot more at the end of this week with our couple of games with clubs currently within that bottom half.

I will definitely wish you good luck for your game on Wednesday, but won't extend that for the rest of the season........<laugh><ok>

    Morning BCFCR&W. <cheers>

Must confess, I'm missing being able to rib my in-laws and Mrs Brizzle about your lot being just as bad as ours now you've gone on one of your streaks again.
I'm not sure how you lot cope with the fact that ever since LJ you've had this innate ability to go on either good or bad runs but hardly ever just tick over. It certainly does nothing for the heart rate and personality swings of the fan base does it?? <laugh>

Just hope we continue to improve and get our act together by the time we play you and our little cousins down the road in the other direction. Not sure I fancy double doubles with either of you!!

With luck you'll have burnt yourselves out with the Man City game. :emoticon-0142-happy Must be nice for you to experience playing the big boys again as it doesn't happen too often for you.

Of course, for us such a game is old hat now having played and beaten both Manchester clubs as divisional equals :emoticon-0105-wink:
We just need to learn how to beat smaller clubs again <doh><laugh>

You can't hurry a writer for goodness sake. Literary genius takes time.

Our lot do seem to get wound up by 'political' topics over there - somewhat understandably in some cases!!

I see Angelic has just started another one about immigrants (again). <doh>

I appreciate the importance of such subjects to some people, but your forum has been awash with endless political/social/ethnic threads. Mind you, I have noticed a few more footballing comments across there now you've won a few games.........<laugh><ok>

Don't get me started on politics. I'm still livid that Helen and Gorka didn't win Strictly.

That’s because we needed to fill the void left by Lee Johnson leaving.
There was a risk of not having something to get angry with each other about!! <laugh>

I do find some of the 'selective' reporting by some mainstream media outlets more than a tad worrying. I've learnt to take everything I read/see with a pinch of salt - recognising that it's someone trying to get me to adopt a certain opinion.
I consider myself a free-thinking moderate (don't we all?!!) so I read these reports and threads, digest the info and make a comparison with my own 'life experience' before making up my mind. Even then, my mind is open to change. I've been proved wrong on more than a few occasions!!
