Anyone seen Tulsa King? I'm halfway through it and wondering if I should persist, does it actually get good?
Started watching some guff called Emily in Paris at the weekend, at the request if my Mrs. (Netflix) Social media type stuff, set in Paris funnily enough. Quite enjoying, you can have it on and not be paying any attention whatsoever and not miss anything. The lead is ****ing hot man, you should see the legs on her.
I Am No Longer Here/Ya No Estoy Aqui. Mexican movie on Netflix, unusual movie in all respects, though the plot (kid has to go on the run to New York after surviving a drive-by shooting) is fairly standard.
Plane - 5 It was plain. Tulsa King - 5.2 Probably being generous with that rating just out of respect to the legend, Sly.
Shrinking - very good still 8.4/10 The Gold - series based on the true story of what happened to the gold following the Brink's Mat robbery. Only seen first episode, but very enjoyable underworld skulduggery 8.5/10
No Country For Old Men - 9 but also a 7. Can’t believe it escaped me for so long, shameful I know and I’ve had it on my list to watch for years but never seemingly got around to it til now. Anyway, Javier Bardem is phenomenally good, one of the best pieces of acting you’ll see, whilst Josh Brolin and Tommy Lee Jones both play their parts well, I was on course to scoring it at least a 9 but then that ****ing ending… Jesus talk about ruining a movie that for 99% was absolutely superb, knocked it down a few pegs in what was otherwise a ****ing masterpiece.

It is a masterpiece, based on a Cormack McCarthy novel. If you know the author then the ending makes more sense, it's always bleak and the characters get what they deserve. Worth a second watch now that you know what happens and can just enjoy for what it is without the expectation.
