Scrappy half to be honest. Neither side look any good. Entertaining though. I reckon it's only a tackle away from kicking off. Both teams seem a bit jittery.
Need Liverpool to hold on. And yes, thought the goal was classic Leeds. Did we interview Dyche for the job
Let’s be honest. Everton are still awful. Don’t care what Dyche got out of them last week. They are there for the taking. We have to raise our game again and put them away
Nuno now looking like favourite to take over. I’m not to unhappy if this happens. He seemed like a broken man at Wolves and then given no cash at Spurs but still had a 47% win rate with them. Turns out he hardly saw his family for 2 years through the pandemic as he was stranded here in the UK. So in some respects you can see an excuse for going off the boil? His latest team is joint top of the league and he has almost an 80% win rate
He's not the Messiah. One swallow doesn't make a Summer. I'm delighted because his style of football doesn't belong in the PL as far as I'm concerned. A bunch of cloggers and a big lump up front wouldn't even work in the Championship. I hope they get battered tonight. It doesn't change my view for our game though, we don't have enough to break them down so we're still fkd.
I think out of the 4-5 serious contenders he’s head and shoulders above the rest for us at this very moment in time. It goes without saying I’d prefer a Thomas Frank but it ain’t happening
Agree on the Nuno thing too. Liked him at Wolves. Had them going really well for a long time. Plus Iwe wouldn’t be getting a stopgap but someone who could do a job for.a couple of seasons. Now watch the board mess it up
Nuno got Wolves up from the Championship then had two top finishes in the PL before moving to Spurs. If we want someone who knows how to keep us in the PL or get us back if the worst happens we could do worse. I know we all want that up and coming star but we're currently very much in the **** so we need an experienced Manager. It looks like him or Gerrard. I know which one I'd go for. Spurs didn't give him any time, maybe because they had Conte in the back ready, but even he is struggling to get Spurs firing.
Let's see what happens on Saturday before we start criticizing what's going on at Everton. As I'm sure you all know their home form is very good for a side at the wrong end of the table for the last two seasons.
No one’s criticising Everton Jammy… I expect dyche to do well there with their playing staff - and I think we all know what to expect Saturday. Even with frankieboy at the helm they battered Marcelo’s finest last year. And let’s also be clear about tonight… anfield is no fair barometer. We all know how rare wins there are… and only the very best coaches ever achieve one.
I am more concerned with our disjointed team. Harrison is no playmaker and we just have no one to take that role. We appear to be playing 4_2_5 and not balanced. If it's supposed to be 4_3_3 then who is the third mid. We may as well play 4_4_2 with gnonto up front.
