I can fully understand the frustration you guys might be suffering with having got promoted and hopes were high for survival this time round but (there's always a BUT) despite being in the 'drop zone' the club needs some stability and the manager given a chance to get it right as opposed to a knee jerk reaction. The team is playing at a higher level where there is a sprinkling of ex PL players at several clubs which can make a big difference in L1. If Wycombe, or any other team that cannot compete at that level then it is perhaps best to take a step backwards in order to move forward again. I mean no disrespect to any of you fans or your team but Wycombe is a small club in terms of stature, fan base and finances at this level and you possibly need to get some perspective and accept your team is where it is and unless you find the money to get one or two of these ex PL players in to your side, you are not likely to make any significant headway. Looking at your track record since joining the football league I would say Wycombe are similar to Norwich in respect of where their 'true position' lay - In your case too good for L2 but probably not good enough for L1. In our case - Too good for the Championship but perhaps not good enough for the PL.
Bloody hell Thai, not only do you whip up the best curries in the world and run a fantastic just-for-fun league, but you also come up with the best post I've heard in years. Fair play to you young man, do you want to be our manager if/when Wadds departs?
Sometimes, when you have no direct involvement with a football club and looking in from the outside, you tend to view things a little differently without the emotional baggage. With Wycombe and several other clubs it is not too hard to make an assessment as I know little about the inner workings of your club and have no ill feelings towards your club or fans. Makes it easier to be fair and realistic and if the fans are not too far up themselves they can understand and sometimes appreciate and outside perspective
Could do with borrowing Cody mc Donald from you guys .... But he's already on loan somewhere? What do u guys think of Russell Martin another ex Wycombe player in the prem
Depending on the finances at Wycombe, I reckon we will be letting striker Chris Martin go on loan in January. There are rumours that Bristol Rovers are sniffing around and if they can afford to take him surly Wycombe could? He was devastating in L1 for us 2 seasons ago and bagged over 20 goals (still not top scorer for City that season ). I would have little doubt he could turn round the fortunes of most lower table L1 teams
Cody is at Coventry but only scored once I believe - was great for the Gills last season though. Rusty is brilliant! Started as a right back for us but has moved in the central defence now and still looks an excellent young player that has played in that position all his life. Certainly a versatile player - we love him
