Tbf that's fraud on the part of the individual offering his made up company's services. Taking advantage of desperate politicians hoying money all over the place.

If Starmer is nothing but honest, that would be a great start, it’s the ones behind him I would be most worried about.

The civil war that happened under Corbyn is still simmering just under the surface. Rayner will challenge him very shortly after they win an election.

I can see that but it would be nice if it didn’t happen, and the government were just left alone to govern, there is nobody else to blame then, but that isn’t going to happen is it.

They'll do what every government does - blame the previous government for most of their time in office while doing as little as possible. Although that's a bit more difficult now as we've removed the 'EU rules guv, nothing we can do' excuse.

Did I read somewhere that an international body that measures countries corruption has said we have slipped down the good list.

Ps just did a quick goole, a couple of years ago we dropped 3 places the following year we dropped 7 places

If having "charisma" is lying to the Queen the police and the public, £million and £billion chumocracy contracts, cash for honours , and being the first Prime Minister in history to actually break the law whilst in office then give me "boring" any day of the week.

Jeremy Corbyn would have broken the law twice.

Can you imagine how hard the papers would have been after him? With good reason as well.

Jeremy Corbyn isn't and never has been the prime minister. Also he has had the whip removed and is therefore no longer classed as a Labour MP. Nice try. <laugh>

I am a governor at my g'kids school.

Unsurprisingly the school had a deficit last year, along with most other schools in the area. (Country?)

Setting a budget for next year is almost impossible.

We are already running with an almost skeleton teaching staff. If we have to lose more staff members, the pupils are really going to suffer.

    Tory Britain

Why would a bunch of billionaires and millionaires care about state schools? They don't send their children to them. Same with the NHS, and the welfare/benefits system. They will never have to use any of these things so they are being run into the ground, after all public funds are needed to give to the friends and families from their network of chums from Eton/Harrow/Oxbridge :emoticon-0102-bigsm

A lifelong friend/Sunderland supporter is a manager at Kings Mill hospital, Mansfield. He says all the staff are all fighting to keep standards up which inadvertently makes the Government look better. When they're then accused, by that Government, of trying to bring the Government down it totally demoralises them to the point when they quit.

It's indefensible but that doesn't stop people trying.

But if he was prime minister he would have been worse than Boris Johnson and he would have been caught breaking the law twice.

Primary school? If so I would say country wide. My wife is a teacher in one and it isnt easy. She is in the class at 7-30 in the morning, leaves at 5. Then from 7 is working for a couple of hours most mights and always a Sunday afternoon for 3 or 4 hours. She tells me stories that make me shudder. She is using a laptop that has no battery and was probably used by Noah to count his animals before her. Yesterday I had to sort some fixes out for her so she could do her work.

Her outlook has always been kids first. She loves teaching and having an impact. She has never voted to strike and never will. She doesnt demand more money for herself, but would love more for her TAs, specialist support, and more resources for the kids. The funding is not enough to keep pace with needs. The education kids lost during the pandemic is a social timebomb ticking away and I would personally do much more to rectify that, but for some it is already too late.

I could go on forever about how broken I think our education system is. I have a lot of first hand experience over a long period of time. I wont though because the match is starting sooner, and one benefit of my wife working is I get the big tele...

Atm we have a brilliant and very good Head Teacher my fear is she is getting beaten down with all insoluble problems she had. If she quits/retires early God knows what will happen.
