I’m strangely relaxed about Jesse. Not sure if that is simply because to do worse is literally impossible, or the fact that his style, perhaps TP aside, will suit the squad?
I know you're taking the piss, but I think appointing Franny in some sort of fan liaison type role would build a fair few bridges between SR and the fans. I worry the appointment of Marsch is going to upset a few and the bloke is going to have to really pull some results out to get people onside. I'm just relieved Jones is gone and I'm totally convinced we're down now due to SR so I'll be fairly patient with him.
Having a chat with a mate on Twitter about Jessie. He's a Leeds fan and pretty scathing about him. Thinks it would reflect really badly on our owners to appoint him, so I've just had to bring him up to speed on the ego of the Danish Jesus.
Whoever becomes the next new manager is going to upset the usual suspects. We're by no means the certainty for relegation that some on here endlessly repeat. There's a possibility they'll be right one season there's a good chance it won't be this one.
Sometimes! (In fairness, 'mate' is quite strong. I've met him a couple of times, and we've chatted about trying to set up a season ticket for someone at food bank, but it's not like we're close, but he's the best informed Leeds fan I know - hence Twitter.)
Yeah dunno why there’s rumours floating around though if we hadn’t, seems an odd link to make up. He’s hoping we get someone else and someone good so we stay up and Forest go down, he’s bored of the PL already
Guardian podcast that's very scathing of Jones and Janny B. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...-football-weekly-var-podcast?CMP=share_btn_tw
https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...im-manager-after-move-for-andoni-iraola-fails With Leeds getting rejected by everyone under the sun, it’s important to have some perspective with who we can realistically get. Marsch probably one of the better realistic options. He got the youngsters at Leeds to paying some great stuff, which very much suits us. He’d probably be keen to stay on if we get relegated, and a Marsch rebuild project would be exciting. I’m not against it.
I'm not particularly keen on Gerrard, Lampard or Rooney full stop (of the three, Gerrard would be my "preference"). But even more so given that it's now February. The one thing which they have in their favour is their contacts. Villa don't get Coutinho without Gerrard. Derby don't get Mount, Wilson and Tomori without Lampard. Apparently it was Everton sacking Lampard which resulted in Danjuma not joining them at the very last second. But with the transfer window now shut, the fact that these guys have contacts is largely irrelevant to us until the summer. So, for now, they don't even have that in their favour.
