Burnley find themselves in a particularly enviable position in their fight for an immediate return to the Premier League under the management of Vincent Kompany this season, having consistently remained at the summit of the division and recently strengthened their bid with 10 straight league triumphs. In the nine games they have played since the world cup break, they have scored 21 goals and only conceded 3. Seven points clear of Sheffield United in second place, and a massive seventeen points clear of teams fighting for the play-offs, they are the outstanding Championship side currently.

At last Slaven Bilic sees the return of some of his injured, but key players. I am not sure that he has had the same players available for selection for weeks now, and some of the teams have been a real case, of if he can run there will be a place somewhere in the team for him. Our new central defensive pairing of Ryan Porteous and Wesley Hoedt looks solid, but will be tested on Tuesday evening. How much time will Imran Louza, Ken Sema, or Tom Cleverley be deemed fit to play for, and what attacking players will the manager choose? More questions than answers about the Watford team.

    Our officials

    Leigh Doughty

    Jonathan Hunt and Matthew McGrath
    Anthony Backhouse

(Doughty reached a century of yellow cards for the season on Tuesday when he was in the middle for Sheffield United’s FA Cup replay win over Wrexham, and he has also dismissed five players in his 22 matches to date in 2022/23.)

Sort of game we actually seem to do well in - up our performance a bit.

Will it be good enough for a result who knows?

I don't normally include them, but thought these deserved a mention.

I mean, there’s eight games this season when he’s given at least six yellows!

I’ve not seen the like of that ever before! <doh> <laugh>

No Hive video stream tonight, just audio. Back to searching for one from somewhere else. I have watched a couple of PL games recently that came from Peru, judging by the half-time adverts. :emoticon-0112-wonde

Looks forward to those who say we have no chance and are rubbish then complaining if we do lose.

Will there be many changes to the team?

Cleverley or Louza to come in maybe...

Going for a more defensive approach with 2 defensive midfielders?

With this ref Kamara will have to watch his step.

Sarr from the Blackburn match. 2 attempted leg-breakers in just 1 dribble:

This is what he is good at, and I would like him to do it more often.
