I’d rather see Everton and Leeds but Bournemouth look as finished as we do.

 

It looks like Howard Webb is clamping down on players surrounding the referee. Lemina got a 2nd yellow for running up to the referee yesterday and Dias has just been booked for doing the same. About time.

 

Literally done nothing about being surrounded, only carded the one that ran to him. Had 5 players around him at one point.

I don't think he said anything. It was the act of running up to the referee that got him his 2nd yellow.

 

It is but the actual surrounding needs sorting. Book them all. Should be the captains job to speak to the ref.

 

Had it been one of our players you'd would be okay with him being sent off for that then?

 

Given that teams would have been told about this, yes.

 

But he didnt do anything? Even Neves said so. Just poor refereeing.

 

It was an absolute disgrace of a decision. Players surround the ref every single game and nothing is done.

It's a new policy brought in by the PGMOL. Anyone running up to the referee gets a yellow (dissent is shown by word or action after all). Dias got booked yesterday for the exact same thing so teams have obviously been told about it. At the end of the day, Lemina's red should act as a deterrent.

 

If they stick to it that should be good for the game in the long run.
