    In your opinion.

You argue over all kinds of things other people may not think worthwhile.

I'd say that posting the kind of hateful insults that chased Chunky off the board is well worth addressing.

When people resort to that I'd say they lose respect as well as the argument ...

... that's their choice but I'm entitled to respond.

You are mate, but the man you are both arguing over can only read your replies which seems a bit pointless. Chunk could read his.

I'm not arguing over a man, I'm arguing about a principle no matter who it's directed at.

Using offensive language on a thread that's supposed to be about politics is unacceptable imo.

    It's in the forums T&c's.

I know but he’s saying it has a different meaning to what you say it has and the dictionary sides with him.

And how do you know precisely what another poster is thinking, why are you arguing on his behalf. .... friends?

    I'm saying what I believe he's saying.

Why not just either of you post the dictionary quote and I'll happily apologise.

To biff means to fall hard. Also a biff is a person who isn't required to think much while doing his job but it could also mean to mess up/make a mistake.6 Oct
but I would imagine you’ve already looked.

We all know what it meant, growing up in the UK, and where its from, trawling through unknown Americanisms doesn't alter that.

    I'll leave it there.

    Biff:
2 Jan 2013 — A hugely politically incorrect term for someone who's not very good at something. A contraction of the words spina bifida.

That’s what I would generally think as well, but I didn’t say it so I don’t know what he meant.<ok>

You're using the unofficial British Army affiliated site definition? As opposed to the official definition in every dictionary online?

Wowsers. Can we start defining our own words here? You know that they're as official as we are when it comes to safc, right?

He has in this case. Despite making a big deal about putting everyone who disagrees with him on ignore, he's still looking at my posts.

Doh. What a 2022 Collins English Dictionary defined nugget.

I was just reading about this. Wasting £25m should a sackable offence (if not a criminal one) but instead he gets promoted.

It also didn't feature on the 47 firms "officially" in the VIP line as well which are under investigation. It's been described as discrepancy, but I've seen enough to be sure it's just another lie and there's far more than 47 companies out there with links to the government who got a slice of our money.

What has gone on in this country over the last few years is criminal, not negligence. It's on a scale far worse than we've seen in government in this country from my knowledge and yet people are still debating if Starmer "has any charisma" or "what his policies are". If he has absolutely nothing else about him but being a barrister, then it's still a huge step up from the crime and sleaze of the current government.
