And I'll be there.Got my tickets for the Rhinos game against ull for the Fri. Love double weekenders.
Exactly right. The better teams play their own game against us but the teams around us shut up shop, let us pile forward then hit us on the break. Everton will defend with 2 banks of 4 with a rabbit up front. We'll huff and we'll puff but we don't have anyone, apart from Gnonto, who can break them down. It will be 0-0 or they'll score. Really pissed of with it today. Why oh why can't our coaches teach the fkn players to hit the fkn target? Forget everything else, if we had more shots that the keeper had to save we'd score more goals.
Well that’s because there are no easy games in this league - at any stage of the season. But there are at least eight games that we will win Southampton h Brighton h Wolves a Palace h Fulham a Leicester h Bournemouth a West Ham a
Everyone got excited when we looked good against Arsenal and Liverpool and Chelsea. Now 2 plucky defeats against a Man U side missing the heartbeat of their midfield and the futsal school teacher is our saviour. Hey he might be for all I know, but really? Just because we didn’t get thumped? The manager’s job is to get his side playing so they create more good chances than the opposition. We’ve done that in about half the matches this season. Our expected points this season is 28, we should be 11th/12th. These are independent statistics not random ones produced by Milkyboy inc. The reason we are not is entirely down to the efficiency of our players v the opposition at both ends of the pitch. On Wednesday we actually created very little and they had plenty of chances that people seem to have forgotten about. The draw was gritty but flattered us. Today we were the better side and deserved to win… and lost… again. Ristac says had skoobs had managed us, we’d have got more points against West Ham, Villa, Brentford and forest. He may be right but we were the better side in all four of those games. Again this is backed up by expected goals in each game. Personally, I think the Villa performance was as good as we’ve played all season… but that’s just my opinion. However, along with Leeds Arsenal it’s also statistically one of the ‘unfairest’ results in the premier league this season. I keep quoting these stats because they’re among those used by clubs’ performance analysts as a guide to a team’s performances. Clearly, they’re not everything and I accept the right of other’s to their opinions…. … just mine are supported by hard evidence Anyway gotta a dash… have to write a ‘good luck in your new job’ card for cousin Jesse.
Did I, where? If we had played like today against Forest - Brentford - Villa - West Ham we would have had more points on the board. The reason we didn't play against them like we did today was because Jesse had us playing some super narrow system that strangled us and the game.
It falls on deaf ears, who’d have thought players look better going forward when there’s more space. As you say, we know exactly what is going to happen at Everton. The only solution to it is to score first… then they at least have to try to play. It’ll be bad enough losing to them without having to suffer jammy’s ‘I told you so’s’
However lads there are 3 worst teams at the bottom, and so long as they stay there the future is secure, plus i know in my heart now that Jussy the Smollett has gone with his bad luck, the wins will be forthcoming in that i have no doubt
Although I am not convinced by the idea of Skubala holding the fort for any length of time, it was noticeable yesterday that the substituted players all seemed to have a hug with him when taken off, no petulance, no walking past him which can only be a positive in my eyes.
I thought we should have ultra defensive second half and packed the midfield. We were two up and to me did not need to score anymore.
