Yes, definitely get him in! We all know that the opposition going down to 10 men with 60 mins to go is such a downer and gives them a boost.

I think so. Alot of Leeds fans will say that's not the case and that his record was **** but for me, him being a Yank and some of the Americanisms he used certainly went against him. He came across as a decent guy though.

Ultimately his record cost him this season. The fans turned against him and when that happens its all over. There were rumours that the players weren't happy but they certainly never dropped their effort levels.

We were incredibly vulnerable to counter attacks. Our defenders aren't the best but more often than not were completely outnumbered when teams broke against us.

I've no idea how he'd do for you guys but he would pretty much follow Hassenhutl and his tactics so at least the players would adapt quickly.

There's certainly something in that. As an impartial who watched a lot of the games he managed I thought Marsch was just a bit of luck away from being in charge of a really good side. Whether some of our established Hassenhutl pros are willing to go back to that style of football is another question. Rumor is that some of them were over all the 'running'. Enough new blood in however to make it fresh.

It is 2026 and I've just posted to the welcome new manager thread 'is he the fittest person on earth tho?'. Its a new PB for 'likes' and I have a warm fuzzy glow remembering Nathan Jones.

This might sound daft, but do we even know how this works?

    a) do we approach people we want?
    b) do we run the equivalent of a job advert and pick from the applicants?
    c) do we do a) then when no one says yes we do b) ?

I believe he was unlucky in more than a few games. The stats suggest we should be mid table if you go on the expected goals for and against stuff. We've certainly been the best side more often than not in games. However, the leaky defence has cost us alot of cheap goals.

I've also got to say that I'm in the minority on Marsch being unlucky. The majority of fans just wanted him out. It turned quite nasty in the end.

He has literally just failed in trying to do what we need but with a squad that were assembled for the high press.

How SR think he is the man is beyond me. I guess it is because there are so few options at this stage... again, another SR **** up.

The optics on Marsch wouldn’t be good. The board must know it would just make the fan base more volatile and they’d only be a few more bad games from us shouting chants of us wanting them out too. They need to make at least a desicion that’s reasonable. Hiring a PL manager who was sacked last week will just pile on the pressure 10x worse.

I would take Marsch. Think our squad is really set up for his type of RB style football. Always like watching Leeds play and if they could have had a goal scorer they would have been higher up the table. Players always seemed to be giving 100% and you could see what they were trying to do, unlike the **** we’ve had to endure for a while. At the end of the day we are bottom of the premier league, relegation favourites, so what more would you expect? And he’s managed much bigger teams than Luton :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I have to say, if they hire Marsch it doesn’t exactly look like they’re casting the net far and wide. Jones, marsch… looks lazy to me.

That's a shame. Seems like a decent bloke, competent if not yet spectacular manager who wasn't a bible thumping, self-centred incompetent moron. You chaps needed to come on here and get some perspective on your leadership.

Marsch has a win rate of 50% across his managerial career so I guess he’s exactly what we need :emoticon-0105-wink:

Maybe Havant & Waterlooville boss Paul Doswell should be given the job of choosing our next manager.

He had Nathanism sussed from day one.
