We've played better the last 2 games than nearly all of those under JM. With Rodrigo playing we may have actually scored a few more.
....yet still missed chances, made mistakes at the back and lost the game. So, even though if we are better organised, individual errors still cost us the game. Is that what you are saying? Because I've said that for months only to be labelled a Marsch super fan.
Wober made a mistake and got away with it, McGuire made a mistake and got away with it, Bruno missed a one on one, at a corner Rashford was inches away, Summerville missed an easy chance, Bamford had a terrible first touch, every game it is a mistake that gifts the opposition possession, even when you press for the ball and win, the opposition will say the player wanted too long on the ball. If we had played like today against Forest - Brentford - Villa - West Ham we would have had more points on the board. The reason we didn't play against them like we did today was because Jesse had us playing some super narrow system that strangled us and the game. Today Firpo rarely ventured forward, when they attacked he was always in the position you'd expect a LB to be in. I am not claiming he was some super transformed LB but he didn't stick out as bad and his positional play was better We attacked down the Left, Right and Center, we were not predictable, I'm far more confident we will avoid relegation without Jesse in charge Not a single player commented on Social Media wishing Jesse well, the players knew his tactics were wrong, he had the players watching Redeem Team on Netflix FFS what kind of coaching is that, the guy is a train wreck, he doesn't deserve to be called a coach
Ristac, I'm saying the players need to be putting more chances away regardless of who is manager. Regardless of tactics, we created enough at Villa to win the game, we created enough at Forest to win the game, we created enough against Arsenal to win the game, we created enough in 2 games against scum to win 2 games. It doesn't matter if Pep himself walked through the door, if the players don't score from the chances created then we will lose games.
Sorry mate but many keep saying if we play like this we will start winning games but that is just not happening. I don’t think it was the effort under Marsch, it was the system. So let’s see how the new boy gets on in the “winnable” matches.
Added to that other teams around us are also playing well and picking up wins and draws. Forest Leicester West Ham are all getting away from us. I watched Brentford last night. Awful game but they too were unlucky to only get one point.
Ffs..yes if we lose and lose and lose we will go down. My point was that we aren't going to play the likes of them again and we will beat teams by playing the way we have done in the last two games.
Being honest I don’t believe there’s a chance of winning six sadly. Just saying that’s what we’d need
We have been better all season against the better teams. Seems to have something to do with getting more space. It’s the likes of Brentford and Forest we can’t break down and where we’re dropping the important points. The way we’ve played this week you’d say we’ll be good for six points against Everton and Southampton. In reality we’ll probably struggle to score against them as they’ll be shoring up their defences
