Southampton have sacked manager Nathan Jones after just three months in charge of the Premier League club.
Not a surprise, putting the fans out of their misery. Nathan Jones been gone too long.....from Luton (I’ll get m’coat). Surely, not a return ticket to Luton again?
It really is quite odd, he does really well at Luton, and he goes to Stoke and is ****e, goes back to Luton and does great, and goes to Southampton and is ****e. There is a moral there somewhere......
Is there much pressure at Luton, we could argue maybe that they are over achieving, Stoke want to be challenging for promotion munimum. Southampton are ****ed but need to stay up. There’s pressure in 2 of them 3 jobs at least, he sounded like it was too much for him
He did indeed, he maybe doesn’t see what we do, and maybe won’t agree he appears to be losing the plot. He’ll get 2 decent pay offs aswell..so maybe not that crackers
I’m slightly nervous that they might approach Liam Rosenior. Hopefully they will go for experience in their current predicament.
He seems to be the type of coach that needs time to build a squad and get them playing how he wants. Stoke and Soton both needed someone to turn the ship around quickly, so maybe not the right choice of coach. Though as I said, he knew what was needed he still took the gamble to have a go. Nevertheless, financially he won't be out of pocket.
Whilst I get what you're saying, it's easy to forget just how inexperienced Liam is as a manager. 12 games for Derby and 14 for us. No doubt clubs are watching and taking note but I can't see any Premier League teams coming in for him... ...yet.
If I was Jones I'd avoid managing any more clubs starting with a S.. Why he wanted to leave Luton, twice, to fall on his arse at crap clubs, is beyond my reckoning.
