Can’t wait for his reply I expect you will be put on ignore he doesn’t like people replying to his posts.
Anybody any idea what this GPC countdown Labour are doing is all about? Apparently Monday morning is the reveal. Bit bizarre for politics to come to some sort of countdown clock like we get at Christmas or New year. 2 sleeps to GPC it seems.
Well said, he had to go back to Blair to try and distract from the current tory mess. Must be holding onto his Corbyn / Abbot ace
Like most people, I was on ignore the first time I disagreed with him. He must think there's only him and three other posters here
Felltop is just making the point that every government usually ends up terrible and he is spot on with his assessment. Don't be so sensitive when it comes to the Labour party...
The only ones who will are those who only vote for the party out of habit or blind loyalty. Anyone who looks at performance or planned policy wont. I can see a Blair like landslide to be honest. 29 point lead now.
I read with interest that a cross party conference has taken place on Brexit and how work is needed to make it work. Remainers and brexiteers from conservative and labour. On the one hand I think this is how politics should be, all those MPs paid by the public purse to better our lives, actually working together in a grown up way. On the other I think this is a clear sign we are into a transition of power on a subject vital to any future govts chance of any success. When Labour get in they need to make this work for our economy, glad to see them on the inside now with a sight of reality.
Me too. Some people accuse me of slagging labour, yet I have been a supporter for donkeys years and paid my dues up until reasonably recently. They just arent a party for me now in terms of policy and behaviour and I stand by that. Unless something in policy terms and displayed behaviour change they wont earn my vote, but I will hope they make a fist of effective govt. I see no reason to believe they will, but for my kids sake I hope I am wrong. As always just an opinion.
Ah, I suspect you could be right, I wasn't very keen on him, but we will never know.. Hilary Clinton was and is not very likeable so difficult for her to be elected. However she would probably have been a very good president. The problem with democracy ( other than idiots get to vote) is that a candidate has to have appeal and be telegenic etc. to be elected. Not necessarily the best criteria for choosing a leader!
It was easy to tell from his time as leader tbh. An absolute ****show. At the very least you've got to maintain some kind of party discipline and coherent message, instead everyone was off in every direction and making up policy on the spot. And to say he had a problematic past in terms of selling him to an electorate is an understatement the size of Australia. He's the Boaty McBoatface of Labour - elected for a laugh - and all of us will be paying the price for that for a good while yet, because he enabled the proper nutters to establish a foothold in the party.
