The Whites produced a performance few expected was possible from a managerless side, without a league win in 14 weeks, but they dug deep, were well organised and turned on the style. Gnonto became only the second player in history to score a first-minute Premier League goal against Man United. The scene is set for a jam packed Elland Road on Sunday lunchtime. Leeds will be without Stuart Dallas, Rodrigo, Archie Gray and Adam Forshaw. There are also question marks regarding Sinisterra (hamstring) and Struijk (concussion) who sustained war battles at Old Trafford. Firpo and Summerville are likely to deputise. It has been suggested that Cooper and Roca are both carrying knocks, which kept them sidelined from Wednesdays game, but it's hard to argue that Wober and McKennie should be dropped. Casemiro is serving the second of a three-game ban. Donny van de Beek (knee), Christian Eriksen (ankle), Santos (knock), Scott McTominay (knock), Anthony Martial (hip) and Wan-Bissaka (illness) will all miss the trip to Yorkshire's finest.
Sinisterra will definitely be out if it is hamstring and surely Struijk won't be allowed if it was concussion related I'd be over the moon with another draw, Struijk and Firpo at LB not much in it, I slightly prefer Firpo at the moment, Sinisterra hasn't hit form yet either, hampered by injury I know so I would actually prefer to see Summerville start
Real shame about Sinisterra, he looked great before he got injured (the previous time) and not had chance to show that kind of form again in his short comeback. But I like the way Summerville and Gnonto link up so more than happy for those two to pair up again. I too would be happy with a point on Sunday I guess, based on the battering they gave us in the second half on Wednesday, but who knows, we know we can get at 'em as well.
We'll get nothing from this game. Just how it is I'm afraid as the Scum will have worked on how to do better against us and that means I can't see anything other than a defeat coming our way. The Jamster is not often wrong, but hey it does happen occasionally so hopefully this is one of those rare occasions
Don’t like relying on other clubs poor results to keep us safe but I’m starting to clutch a straws Like our last game I’m not expecting anything but who knows Just hope we don’t get a bent ref and the idiots in charge of var pull their fingers out
I agree. We hit them off guard but from it sounds like they worked us out as the game wore on. Expect them to start very differently or maybe we just tired.
On the other hand, the three musketeers have also learned from the second half and have a cunning plan that we will put into action (I can dream can’t I ?).
I think Leeds will beat man u we got the hang of man u now the secret to beating man u , get stuck into them from the start , attack them from start as we saw at old trafford and they will panick as few teams in premier do this against them
Good morning it's matchday and it will be a cracking atmosphere. Outside the sky is grey and overcast but no wind or rain. Looks like a good day to be a white.
Yep a great day for going to the footy and a fabulous match to look forward to. As far as I'm concerned you can stick the Championship up your arse (not you personally wakey) as this is what it's all about. Just got to get Jammy Jnr's vital U16's clash out of the way first.
It’s funny actually. Grandson scored a cracker Friday night first night back at training and I was like an idiot punching the air like if it was the 72final the levels we play at don’t matter once we can get passionate about it
I’m in the Jamster stable, just think it’ll be more difficult playing them at ER particularly if things don’t go well from the start. However one thing that seems to have been overlooked about the last quarter on Wednesday, is that Manure had had 24 hrs greater recovery time, as they played Saturday, which I’m sure helped them greatly. Hopefully now it’s more even, we’ll win comfortably or at worst not lose MOT
For the first time in a while, I'm feeling positive about this one. I think we'll get a draw at least
All I’ve got to say about the match this afternoon whatever the result we should not be venting our anger or the team or coaches if anyone needs to vent then take it out on the”board” for making such a pigs breakfast out of everything
Agreed... This managerial process if a massive **** up. We should have already appointed somebody it's not hard look at Everton. If you're gonna sack a manager at this point in the season you think you'd have a replacement lines up.
