Max should give up on this football lark. Run for France at the Olympics or something, 100 yard sprint. Ball just gets in his way if anything.
Pre-WC we were in fantastic form and were winning lots of tight games. Since the break though we've looked solid but unspectacular and a bad result has been coming (though the number of draws we've been grinding out haven't exactly been good results). Based off the last month or so we're a top 10 side who happen to be sat in 4th due to previous excellent form. Brighton, Brentford and Fulham look better than us at the moment and if us and Tottenham don't improve it'll be interesting to see who gets 4th. As for Max, he was the best player on the pitch when we drew 3-3 with Man City, he tore them apart time and again. I just think that most teams double up on him to begin with and then his head drops as he's not getting the game he wants, reckon he'll leave in the next year to Spain or France and look very good again.
Bye bye top 6 I think. Wilson, ASM, Willock, Almiron all injured. Next week Liverpool and Bruno is suspended, our paper thin squad is about to go through the shredder. Still a great season overall but 7th from here.
Always a danger ... it's a cruel game ... pretty sure we'd have finished top4 twice if we'd had more luck with injuries but that's life ... the difference the Big 6 really have is that quality in depth that means they tend to have equally good cover for every position..
When I saw the line up and the first four names were Forster, Tanganga, Dier and Davies. You knew it was gonna be a tough afternoon. Too many Spurs fans/staff etc think that buying one defender is a productive window. They need to sell/get rid of 10 players this summer and bring in 5-6 at least. History tells us that won’t happen.
