Well, well well, Spurs today resembled a bunch of professional full-time comedians trying their luck at premiership football. What a joke team. Also, I have rarely seen a more inapt goal keeper. He has certainly left an impression on me - diving high up in the air whilst the ball is trickling along the ground towards his goal for goal number four,.. mercifully I was spared the other 3. Double Rum please !!!.
So Conte has achieved it twice in a 6 week period. Want me to do a reckoning on the last time that happened in the PL to Spurs ... ??
Wacked out on tramadol today with a ****ed back , even half a box more could not allow me to see Richarlison as a 60 million striker
I can’t help but feel this is karma for the **** squad management this season that’s seen barely anyone outside the first XI get a kick. Now we’re having to rely on players that are essentially at pre-season levels of match fitness because of it.
Knacker the first XI, then get **** performances from the backup when they're thrown in. We've seen this for years under a variety of managers, for some reason. Ridiculous stuff.
1. Good job Conte was backed in the summer re squad, and meticulously applied squad rotation throughout this season to minimise these very possibilities. 2. https://www.skysports.com/football/ac-milan-vs-tottenham-hotspur/teams/229989 Audere est facere (or should it be : Arry est facere) .
Conte and Spurs just isn't working. This isn't knee jerk it's just not working. I don't know what's happened the last few days since Conte returned after the euphoria from the Man City game but everyone bar Bentacur were disgraceful today. We can berate our defence and rightly so but out forward line and wingbacks couldn't trap a ball today. The players AND Conte just looked totally disinterested.
So I spent the afternoon with my sister who is a smug noveau-Gooner who is so knowledgeable about their team that she thinks they have a player named Trossaro they signed from Chelsea (and the bullshit she claimed about Partey not being a rapist sounds uncannily like she can't tell him apart from Mason Greenwood) so what I really wanted was a reason not to put my foot through the wall In other words, I'll be calling the builders on Monday morning...
Iirc Sandro walked of when he was injured and his injury was an ACL and nine months out. Walking off was not the right thing to do
Have no idea what conte is doing or thinking tbh. He plays clearly out of form players (Son, Dier, Royal) week in week out and when Royal puts in an absolutely brilliant performance he drops him for the next game. He spent £60m on Richarlison because he wanted him (and he has done nothing) bought Bissouma cos he wanted him yet rarely plays him but Porro walks straight into the team and gives that performance. His not playing Skippand Sarr is about to hurt us big time with our predictable injuries and one of the most attacking wingbacks in the league is out on loan. Last week we were dynamic, energetic and enjoyable to watch...this week we returned to boring plodding dross. I genuinely don't turn on managers and have only wanted AVB, Sherwood and JM gone...regardless of who could come in but am getting to that point with Conte. We are horrible to watch most weeks
The most frustrating thing is that for the first 15 mins of the game we looked transformed. Good pressing, good passing, lots of energy. Then they spanked in the equaliser and we fell apart.
Since I missed the match (and can't be arsed to watch MOTD, just in general...) does anyone get the sense we should've given Conte another week or two before returning to the dugout? ...remember, I said "week", not "month"
Would have got slapped with Emerson in the team then Conte would have got blasted for not starting Porro
No Romero means Dier looks as **** as he actually is laughable how he’s still at Spurs…should be playing for Bournemouth, Everton etc
