Thought Doc had a decent game, won the ball back constantly and provided good energy. Seri struggled to control the game as he usually does but we turned over possession far too often. Both centre backs were very good
People say Sinik didn’t do enough in the few minutes he played but whenever he did, I noticed he put himself about, had a bit of fire in his belly, worked hard to win the ball back if he lost it. Can’t say the same for Vale and Ebiowei on the back of that debut.
Unless I missed it at least we didn't do that cringe thing of making sure the sub slips the captains arm band on him for the 2 mins cameo.
Doc had a poor game but so did Seri and Slater. Ingram’s distribution today was shocking. Whether that’s enough to drop him for Darlow is Rosy’s decision.
Hull City's play-off challenge suffered a bump as they were held to a goalless draw at Stoke. The Potteries are not a happy hunting ground for the Tigers and their winless streak that stretches back to 2006 was extended. Their best chance came as Regan Slater found Aaron Connolly in space but, struggling for balance, he skied the effort over the bar. Hull climbed to 11th but slipped to five points behind the top six while a point keeps Stoke five points above the relegation zone. BBC
The biggest concern was how lazy ME was. Having an off day happens but he didn't even look interested, he had a few opportunities to take on his man but never did. Didn't really track back either. Tufan gets criticism but he was light years above him today
Dropping Ingram after 3 clean sheets plus a motm performance for having a game with poor distribution would be poor management IMO and point to the fact he was looking for a reason to drop him
I though that was one of Seri's poorer displays lately and wasn't surprised he went off. Just looked sloppy in possession and missing his usual hunger and alertness. Agree with the comments that Jones and McLoughlin were our standouts, hard to think of a third.
I wouldn't be ripping up the line up for Norwich, it's a big game and we need to give the XI a chance to bounce back. If we don't see a response then changes can be considered. As you say though I wouldn't be starting with Ingram.
Unless he's particularly poor against Norwich I don't know why you would. Darlow's distribution isn't much better.
His backtracking was dire. He's played under LR before and everyone says how clear Liam is in his instructions. It seems unlikely he didn't know what he was meant to be doing
He'd have had a bit more of a chance if we could've kept the ball in play. Don't think I've ever seen so many throw-ins in a game.
**** game, neither team deserved to win but we should have because we’re not Stoke. Ref was **** too. Unbeaten run continues
