One of their strikers played for us as a youngster so he’d probably score and a lot of their team wouldn’t look out of place higher up .
I see more questionable sponsorship mooted..... Crazy that the Saudis would choose to sponsor Women's soccer eh... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64579257
Crazy that their sponsorship is even being considered too. Never mind their track record with women's rights, their actions in Syria and Yemen should be enough for the world to tell them where to go. Although the US and the UK are just as complicit in that regard - maybe they should both be told where to go as well.
I get the feeling that it's not uncommon for a player to score a penalty and then miss with a second - Kane obv. Apart from Berahino who managed to miss twice (haha). It's weird. When Kane stepped up for the second, I said - no please give it to someone else - will confuse the goalkeeper at least. Same thing with Mullin(s) Anyway, has anyone got stats on my proposition ?
Is Nathan Jones losing his marbles a bit ? https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/nathan-jones-southampton-manager-news-b2279810.html?amp
Marry a nice Welsh girl or lead Southampton to relegation - and he chooses the latter? He's a nutcase - but then he chose to manage Luton as well, so we already knew that...
I came across this on FB, and thought it was interesting. It must be pre-1959 because we changed to the Hornets then. please log in to view this image
There are a few there who are no longer FL clubs - and some who dropped out then came back again. I wonder why York City never had a nickname?
I get the Brewers, but I thought we were just known as the Blues? I have a football rattle, in amazing condition and still very loud, with the old blue paint faded but visible. It was my uncle’s (not a blood relative) who came from Harrow. I probably wouldn’t be allowed in with it these days. I bet ‘security’ wouldn’t know what it is!
I always had Barnsley as ‘Tykes’. I love Crystal Palace’s! Maybe new ownership beckons? I haven’t found anything more enlightening, dates-wise, than you. Gateshead were voted out of the League in 1960, and Bradford PA in 1963, I think. The rest are all known to me as clubs I’m familiar with as part of the 92. Hartlepool lost the S in their name in 1968, so no help there either. Super graphic though, ofh.
They are - but what I was really wondering was if the list pre-dated 1929, when they joined the FL. Couldn't be though as Gateshead are on it, and they joined in 1930 I think. I'm surprised they're not known as Watford B now - having just appointed their 13th manager in 9 years.
I see Southampton have sacked Nathan Jones after 3 months in charge. No doubt will labelled as the Watford disease
