Odds mean Jack, it just means more people are putting money on him due to the others being less likely due to new contracts or what the clubs have said about the other candidates.

Rather them take time and someone worthwhile than getting the wrong body in. Would probably prefer and interim coach until summer if they can’t get who they want right now, no point getting 5th choice target on a long contract if you can get 1st choice in the summer.
Spot on.<ok>

Why the big love-in with Dyche ? Has everyone forgot in his last job he was sacked with Burnley 4 points from safety with 8 games to go and odds on for the drop last season. They only started winning after he left and still went down. Yes, he's got a great track record before that but he doesn't guarantee safety. Personally I'm glad we didn't get him, don't want to watch us playing Dyche-ball just so we can escape relegation by the skin of our teeth every ****ing season !

Let me put this to you lads, say the beginning of last season Sean Dyche was managing man citeh and Pep was at Burnley, do you think Burnley would have survived the drop and citeh went on to buy, ... sorry win the Premier league? Dyche can only work with the tools he has and pep could only work with the money he has, I don't know, but with Dyche's experience of battling to stay in the top flight with average players playing a style that's not pretty to the eye and not for the purists. Maybe with better players he could do the job with a blend of aggression and football skill, and maybe compete for the top six instead of making the numbers up at the bottom, like I said, I don't know.
What do you think.?

Great point. Here's another under rated lad who won promotions and staved off several relegations in his career. Chris Houghton. Under rated in my opinion as he always seemed to be operating with limited resources

Olof makes a point but the same was said about Big Sam and he said it himself. He once said that if he had the budget he would make Bolton as good as Real Madrid. He also said if he had better players he would make his tactics to suit and not play lumpitball. He did have his chance at Everton and then at WHU with better players but …..

Did he have a budget the size of Peps?
pep buys players to sit on the bench most prem teams want to walk straight into the starting 11

Hope the operation went okay mate if you are checking in anytime today, we all send you our best wishes <ok>

Cheers Ristac, everything went as well as it could, still have longer terms issues to sort out, but at least not in the same amount of pain as the other day.

Apparently my Mrs said I logged on here yesterday and just sat looking at my tablet screen now whether that was bewilderment at what I was reading, or because I was as high as a kite on pain medication, I'll leave for everyone else to make their own mind up :)

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and apologies to Elland as I'm replying to this thread and I've not even read the opening post yet :D
