I didn't..... I stated I needed more information to form a decent enough view on it.

At present if it meant splitting from FIFA/UEFA and domestic league - no I wouldn't be happy......However I do believe we would be invited to join rather than have to bulldoze our way in due to PIF and BeIN.

......And no I dont think they'd walk away regardless. But again it's my views rather than based on factual knowledge.

Something else to bear in mind with this proposal, why stop at a European Super League?

Why not make it a World Super League? You can bet your arse that would come down the line within a decade or so.

 

I'm pretty sure they'll invite American clubs in and yeah they'll be given a leg up into the sport..

 

Americans just need to get to **** and stick to ice hockey and basketball.

Thick ****s couldn't even understand the basic rules of rounders and rugby man

 

That would be more fun. Be interesting see some of the South American teams involved!

 

Liverpool hearing about the new super league proposal.



Liverpool realising no PL clubs can join and that they will be a mid table team for at least the next decade.

 

I think we’ll be in for a massive implosion before we get anywhere near that.

 

Like to see how these new proposals with no one guaranteed their place shape up and how it differs from just being an update on the current Champions League which in truth could do with a revamp although the new proposals from uefa look a bit crap.
If extended in future to a world league but retained the need to qualify each year from controlled leagues it could actually be good and if the pif stick with us no reason why we couldn’t or shouldn’t be in it

So just been reading through the new format and it's a tier system in which the rich clubs will get richer and richer so they can spend more and more and the rest will not be allowed to spend to get richer.

It's ultimately same ****housery dressed up differently.

If they're such big amazing clubs then stop demanding the rest to be restricted and stop rigging the cards basically.

I literally cannot wait until newcastle-united is up there and toppling them because its going to be the football equivalent of big mouth gets knocked out.

 

Here's how it should work:

There are a total of 28 top flights in Europe.
Euro Champions Cup. Each year the winners of each league enter a mini league comprised of top 4 UEFA coefficients (England, Germany, Italy, Spain presently). The remaining 24 get put into a random draw of semi finals (12) and 6 finals resulting in a 10 team league, with 18 fixtures across the league and the top 4 then go into a mini play-off for the Champions Cup title.

Europa Cup. Pure knockout fun for the runners up in each division. If there's 28 top flights, you take 4 from the main 4 leagues, then 2 from the rest. That would make 64 teams in pure knockout glory.

That's it. No conference bullshit, no Europa League ****ing nonsense. All of these new bollock tournaments like Europa ****ing Conference have weakened clubs whilst paying UEFA. This gets it back to basics. Anybody not happy isn't being run effectively. Sponsorships need to go up because space is exclusive and limited. Revenues can still grow, because less is more.

Then EVERYBODY ELSE'S ****ING TIME at football clubs could be spent sorting out the copious amount of **** knocking about, such as working on agents fees, out of control salaries, mental balance sheets, dealing with operational costs, working within its means and being a football club for the ****ing fans.

 

Summary?

 

Why on earth would they do that ?
